On Saturday November 24, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., Glory Haunt Hounds is going to hold a paranormal fundraiser to benefit the victims of Hurricane Sandy at the Irish Mist in Troy, New York with special guest Steve Di Schiavi from Travel Channel’s “The Dead Files” and….? (There might be more celeb guests announced soon. Team GHH is working on that.)
There will be a meet and greet, Q&A lecture, dinner buffet, and a ghost tour of all abandoned floors. There will also be a raffle for prizes, including:
- Paranormal equipment
- Ideal Event Management TAPS event gift certificates
- 10 lucky winners will get a one hour paranormal investigation with Steve Di Schiavi
Tickets are $50. Proceeds will go to the Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
I’d very much love to attend this event, but I’m down in Tennessee that weekend.
However, I’d like to help support both the victims of Hurricane Sandy as well as my Glory Haunt Hound pals. (John Tobin and Chip Reichenthal host “Keeping the Spirits Alive!” on Para X Radio, a.k.a. the show that every other Monday they have me on to do a Haunt Jaunt of the Week.)
So here’s what I’m going to do: purchase two tickets for one or two (possibly three) lucky winners, depending. (I’ll explain that below.)

Picking winner(s): If the first person picked just wants one ticket, a second name will be drawn. If the second person specifies they want a ticket and a plus one, I’ll buy all three tickets. Of course if the first name drawn specifies a plus one, then there won’t be a second drawing.

Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
