I meant to share this yesterday. (That’s when I found out about it, but it’s been going on since June 18. Dang. Wish I’d been paying better attention!)
At any rate, Chad from Chateau GRRR is running a really cool online treasure hunt: “Ghost Pirate Pete’s Treasure Hunt.”
Booty (aka prizes) include:
- One $100 Amazon Gift Card
- Two $50 Amazon Gift Cards
- Two $25 Amazon Gift Cards
There’s a little bit of effort and brainpower involved. (As well there should be when you’re searching for a treasure.) You have to answer some questions and put them in a little story about how you’d spend your treasure. (It can only be a sentence…if you’re succinct enough to keep it that short. I’m certainly not!)
Deadline is tomorrow, 6/25/2010. Sorry about the super short notice. I’ve been a smidge distracted with Life lately.
GOOD LUCK if you enter! (I’m going to try to. It’ll be a mad rush but…I’ve done crazier things in my time!)
TIP
All the answers can be found on Chateau GRRR’s site.
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
I have been following it since the 18th. Already have my answers and story sent in! 😉 Very Cool Idea huh?
Mommy D
I’ve seen his tweets about this. I was wondering what it was. Thanks for the info. It sounds like a good idea.
Oh Mommy D, you are so on top of things. I need to take lessons from you!
Same with you Jessica. You guys were in the know! I’m, as usual, bringing up the rear…I’m not known as Pokey for nothing. (LOL! I guess some could misinterpret it to mean I got that name for a different, even less nice, reason… 😉
