Okay, I refueled myself and my broom and am ready to take you around to the rest of the festive Halloween blogs I’ve visited this season.
STOP 4: A FANCIFUL TWIST
I haven’t been able to put my finger on exactly what appeals to me about this blog. It’s vintage feel? It’s femininity? The gorgeous designs? The hint of magic mixed with whimsy? That’s why I can’t put my finger on it. There’s so much about it that calls to my soul!
Here’s a couple of her posts that made me sigh, swoon, and smile:
- Lovely Magical Autumn Days…
- A Hauntingly Magical Celebration {Halloween 2009}
Stops 5 and 6 prove the old adage “Give and you shall receive” true. If not for my giveaways (which these next bloggers participated in), I would not have gained the knowledge about their blogs to follow!
STOP 5: CHARLI AND ME
I love, love, LOVE the falling leaves on her blog. (Virtual ones that tumble from the virtual sky!) So cool! Actually, the whole look and feel of her blog is cool. And these were a couple of her posts that I particularly enjoyed. (A book review and food…two of my favorite things!)
- R.I.P. IV…..
- Blue Monday………. And some Halloween fun!…..
STOP 6: SWAPPING HOWDIES
Is that just not the cutest name for a blog? What I like about this blog is it’s eclectic feel. Birgit lives in Munich and shares glimpses into her life there. Some of the posts have nothing to do with Halloween, I just liked the images. But some do…
- Bumblebee hat
- Gate
- It’s beginning to look a lot like…
- First snow in mid-October
- Haribo Vampires
- Nightly Dance (I just adore this image! If I could buy it I would!)
STOP 7: A HAUNTING WE WILL GO
Patty is such a nice lady. And she took an intriguing pic I thought it’d be fun to share:
STOP 8: CUISINE KATHLEEN
Do you ever visit a blog and think, “Wow. That’s amazing. So much talent.” I found her because she’s one of the fiberdoodles Halloween Blog Party Participants. Kathleen posts pictures galore of her creations. To dine at her table would be an honor, a pleasure and a delight for all the senses! These posts best illustrate what I mean:
- Witches’ Flyby Part 3~ And a Tablescape or 2
- Naughty Witches~Ghostly Tablescape Thursday
- Mosaic Monday and a Little Halloween
STOP 9: THE PLAY OF LIGHT AND SHADOWS
If I recall correctly, MarZel’s blog led me to fiberdoodles in the first place. But then fiberdoodles led me back for the Halloween Blog Party. Here’s the seasonal fun I found when I got there:
- Free Widgets Cool. Cool. Cool! Did I say “Cool?” Put some Halloween animation on your blog! (flying bats and witches, dancing skellies, a floating ghost…)
- NEW Fall Seasonal Backgrounds…FREE! (Blogger users take note!)
STOP 10: ARTDECADENCE
The pictures on these two posts in particular really called to me. The flying carpets…beautiful. And while it’s too late to enter her contest, the pictures on that post and how they’re moving…wow. I haven’t seen anything like that before.
STOP 11: DREADCENTRAL.COM
I don’t know if I agree with all the choices on this list (most I do, but I’d have swapped out a couple for others), but here’s his take on what the Top 10 ghost story movies are:
- MattFini’s Halloween Top 10 Lists: Ghost Stories!
STOP 12: SCREAMSTRESS
I’m nuts for the new show the Vampire Diaries, and I think that’s what led me to Screamstress. (They post a lot of info about it.) But they post a lot of info about all things horror, spooky, and Halloween. Here’s some of their posts regarding the latter I’ve enjoyed:
- ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Promo Pics for Halloween Episode
- Celebrate Halloween with Lunchmeat Magazine
- All Six “The House of the Devil” Posters
STOP 13: GRIMVISIONS
I always learn some pretty neat stuff from this blog (or see neat things). Here’s some examples:
- The Monster and The Mummy are for sale
- Haunt Style a Blog for those who live Halloween
- Food imitating Gore – Kittiwat Unarrom
- Creepy Cocktails and Drinks for your Halloween Party
STOP 14: A BAKED CREATION
There’s only one thing I like better than food…pictures showing me how to make it! But I don’t know if I could make these cupcakes…they’d probably get gobbled up during creation!
- Ghosts of Cupcakes Past
We’ve reached the end of the line. That’s it. The tours over. I hope you had a good time and saw some really interesting things along the way!
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Thanks for posting all the cool blogs and websites. I do enjoy reading others blogs and seeing all their talented art work.
I love hearing about these blogs and sites! Thanks.
You’re welcome, ladies! I hope you enjoy. As you are both well aware because you both do it too, there is a lot of neat stuff out there!
