I’m not exactly sure what Curious Events Day is. Who created it? What curious events does the day pay tribute to? What are the greatest curious events that have ever happened? How would you even classify such a thing? Could you?

I don’t know.

All I know for certain is that Curious Events Day falls on October 9.

And here’s what I think: I think that Loch Ness sightings are pretty curious, as are reports of Bigfoot/Yeti/Sasquatch, extraterrestrials and crop circles.

I think the Bermuda Triangle lore is pretty curious. Any paranormal activity also piques my curiosity button.

I don’t know the proper way to celebrate and/or honor such a curious day. All I do know is that I’ve got it listed on the Weird Holidays & Observances page, because I culled it from one (or more) of the Sources I used to create it.

Since there doesn’t seem to be a right way to pay homage, I figured why not share some curious photos I’ve found on my favorite free images sites: Pixabay?

I’m telling you, there are some doozies. Super creative people out there who know how to work magic with images to create amazing, sometimes even provocative, photos. And then they upload them to this gem of a site for people like me to use. For free!

Because it’s October 9th, here are nine of my favorite curious photos.

I added the titles above them. If they spark your muse at all, feel free to leave a comment with what you’d title any (or all) of them.

1. Space Cowgirls

2. Bareback Catch of the Day
3. Eye’ve Got You Now

4. The Dimensions Between

5. It’s a Dino Eat Dino World
6. Just Hanging Around

7. As Above, So Below
