The story takes place in a farmhouse in the tiny village of Merrill, Michigan.
From the summer of 1974 to the spring of 1975, the Pomeraning family endured relentless, bizarre and violent paranormal phenomena. There were knocking, explosions, disembodied voices, even spontaneous combustion that ripped apart the home and the family living inside of it. With dozens of hours of real-time audio recordings, hundreds of police reports and dozens of eyewitnesses, this case is arguably the most well-documented paranormal case in history. Yet to this day, no one knows why this family was ravaged by an unseen, evil force. Was it a poltergeist? Demonic possession? Witchcraft? Check-In
Are you a Kindred Spirits fan? Are you psyched for its return?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Yes, I am a Kindred Spirits fan!
I’ve heard of Travis Walton and read about his case. I wonder what the new evidence is. Rather exciting!
I’m not following what you mean by “Season Finale.” These seasons are over already at the end of January? How can that be? Wouldn’t the first episode be the “Premiere”? I’m confused. Am I missing something? Can you shine some light on this please, Courtney?
Also, I am really glad that Travel Channel is adding to the franchise of their “Caught on Camera” success of Paranormal: Caught on Camera with Unexplained: Caught on Camera. I am quite sure it will be excellent, which will make for two great shows. I’m sure we can expect a Season 6 of Paranormal: Caught on Camera again not much later this year. They had 27, get that, 27, episodes of that show last year, running from March all the way to December! That’s like the early years of Ghost Adventures! So they know they have a good thing going. It is inexpensive to produce, and there is no shortage of material to choose from. I still have trouble with the Ghost Brothers; not a big fan of the goofy, immature, sappy approach. I feel it takes away from the seriousness of paranormal research altogether. But I might watch the particular episode you mention. Personally, I have always wanted to investigate Waverly Hills. But their rules are very strict and limited, and it’s not the easiest of places to get into if you don’t have a popular network behind you paying them the big bucks.
I have the Fire in the Sky book, so I’ve been interested about this “new evidence” as well…
Hey Troy, yes. First episodes are premieres, but this list tells the episodes airing during a certain span. So the ones with finales premiered back Nov or Dec 2022. Hope that helps!
I hope you get to investigate Waverly one day, Troy! They are very prohibitive, both rules and cost-wise. And glad you enjoy the caught on camera shows. Looks like you’ll have a LOT of episodes to enjoy then. lol Thanks for weighing in!
Well now I guess I’m going to have to figure that out and answer that question because I want to know. You may have just given me a new post for this week! lol
And your comment confirms what Priscilla’s sparked: I now have FOMO and want to know too! lol
