Fans of Travel Channel’s’ Mysteries at the Museum might know its host and narrator has a new show coming Monday, June 8: Buried Worlds with Don Wildman.
Or maybe you didn’t and now you do. Either way, I’ll get a chance to talk to him and want to see if anybody else has questions for him.
But first, let’s have a quick peek at what his new show is about.
A Glimpse at Buried Worlds
In his new series, Wildman embarks on a global quest to explore the world’s most terrifying mysteries. His goal is to seek out the darkest legends in the world and experience them for himself.
He’ll join in taboo rituals, come face-to-face with paranormal entities, and witness deadly practices.
For instance, his adventures take him to the Virginia woods for a harrowing encounter with demonic spirits and to Poland and Germany to hunt for powerful occult objects hidden by the Nazis.
Later in the season, Wildman’s journey takes him to the coast of Peru –the site of the world’s largest mass human sacrifice, never revealed before on TV– and comes face-to-face with an ancient tribal god.
Voodoo, vampires, witches…you name it, Wildman’s going in search of them.
Episode 1: Vampire Hunt
In the series premiere, Wildman travels to Eastern Europe to discover the truth behind the haunting stories of vampires that still linger and torment rural Bulgarian towns.
He joins a group of active vampire hunters as they investigate an abandoned village terrorized by vampires and uncover what looks to be the tomb of one of them.
His journey continues when he dives into the history of these beings, not only in Bulgaria, but in Hungary as well.
As Wildman discovers the dark past of vampires and witches, he is given the opportunity to contact the spirits of those who have passed –with the help of a modern-day witch.
Then, to bring his adventure full circle, he explores the dark truth of the infamous Count Dracula.
Questions?
On Tuesday, June 2, I’ll get the chance to talk with Wildman about Buried Worlds. One-on-one even, which is quite exciting.
What should I ask him?
I’m sure some questions will pop up after I watch the screener for episode one, but you know me. I like to ask others what they might ask. Oftentimes it leads to some really great questions!
So if you have any questions for Wildman, feel free to Check-In below.
I’ll post my conversation with him sometime next week and you can see if yours was one of the questions I asked!
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
He’s a super brave man! I’d ask if he ever felt his life were in danger during these explorations.
I didn’t know he had a new show, so thank you for the update. I would like to know will we see places that have never been explored before? Does Don have a full compliment of crew with him when he does explore? Does he have to get permission from different governments before he explores? Who does his research prior too and how dangerous are his treks?
Hey I’m glad you asked this…the talk led to the perfect opportunity to ask it so I did!
Thank YOU for the questions!!! I was able to work the danger one in because it came up with something he was talking about so… WHOOP! Thanks!
