FEARnet's A Haunting in LA Sweepstakes

Have you heard about FEARnet ‘s A Haunting in L.A. Sweepstakes? It sounds pretty cool. The trip would take place October 16-19, 2009. Here’s a snippet from FEARnet’s website about it:

You and a friend will be flown to L.A. for a four day spook fest. We’ll pay for your air, your hotel, and some incredible extras. We’ll take you to some of the creepiest haunts in la la land. And to keep you smiling, we’ll even toss in an extra $200 spending money.

HOW TO ENTER THE “A HAUNTING IN LA SWEEPSTAKES”

They have an online entry form at this link: http://www.fearnet.com/ahauntinginlosangeles/index.html.

You can enter once per day until September 30, 2009. The drawing will be held on or around October 1, 2009.

A HAUNTING IN LA SWEEPSTAKES PRIZES

I was curious to know what they considered “the creepiest haunts in la la land” and where exactly this haunted tour of L.A. would go, so I read the fine print of their rules. I didn’t find out exactly what creepiest haunts you might see, but I did get the skinny on the cool prizes being offered:

As noted above, a trip for two to L.A. You’d fly coach and the Sponsor gets to pick the airlines.
Four days/three nights hotel accomodations. Again, Sponsor’s choice of hotel.
Dinner for two at restaurant of, you guessed it, Sponsor’s choice.
Two one day passes to Universal Studios.
A Haunted L.A. bus tour for two.
A car rental (economy class) for four days.
Two $100 American Express gift cards.

I guess the haunted bus tour is the big haunted tour of L.A. part. The rest just sounds like a lot of fun. (Unless, of course, the Sponsor chooses to put you up in a Spooky Stay and buy you dinner at an Eerie Eatery…)

But I’m not being too critical. All told they estimate the prize package to be worth approximately $4,500. Not too shabby for just taking a few seconds each day from now until September 30th to enter your name in the sweepstakes, eh?

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

You must be 21 to enter.
You must be a resident of the United States.
Void in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and military bases in foreign countries.
