I haven’t done a Friday Fun post the past couple of weeks because I figured Christmas then New Year’s, which both fell on Fridays, were enough fun themselves. However, to kick off 2010, I thought I’d present you with something sure to appeal to your paranormal sensibilities as well as tickle your funny bone: Entities-R-Us, the ghost hunter comic.

I’ve been following on Twitter (@EntitiesRUs) almost since I first joined in Sept. 2008. It appealed to me right away for perhaps obvious reasons.  I mean, how could it not with this as a tagline? “Paranormal humor for the ghost hunter’s soul. Cartoons from the other side, through the veil, to THIS side.”

Catchy, huh? (I personally like the spin on the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” tag. I think that’s so clever.)

It’s also a nice taste of the type of humor you can expect from Terri J. Garofalo, the creator of Entities-R-Us. Talk about talent. She can both draw and write.

In fact, check out the Entities-R-Us About page. It tells about the “hunters” who comprise Entities-R-Us, in particular its founding members Arno Alkaloid (“non-recovering In Search Of addict has harbored a hankering for the haunted as long as he could remember”) and Merv Schwermble (former sound guy for 80s hair band, Frizz-O-Matic).

There are descriptions for others too, but I don’t want to give it all away. I’d like to let you have some fun discovering it for yourself.

I do believe a new cartoon appears on the Home page almost everyday. However, if you miss one (or want to catch up on them), Terri’s got them all stored for easy look up in her Archives.

You can also buy Entities-R-Us merchandise, like bags, T-shirts, and mugs at the Cafe Press store. I still don’t see Terri’s Indiana Jones-like hat for sale, though. She Tweeted the other day about how some old lady wanted to buy one. I RT’d that so did I! I don’t know, Terri, I’m thinking you might be missing a merchandising opportunity… (You have to see Terri’s Twitter profile pic to appreciate the humor of me ribbing her about her hat.)

Anyway, check out this comic and load it in your RSS. I give you my Money Back Guarantee that it’s sure to give you your daily chuckle…or at least smile. And we all need to make sure to take that vitamin, don’t we?
