Spot the Error: Walking Horse Hotel
In the video around the 1:40 mark, I explain that the hotel was built in 1917 as a railroad hotel. Then around the 2:48 mark, I say, “Reports of [paranormal] activity includes apparitions of Civil War soldiers because when the Civil War ended, the Union Troops that were holding Confederate soldiers hostage released them, that were in this area, and many went to the hotel where, due to the condition they were in, didn’t live very long.”
False. The Civil War ended in 1865. The hotel wasn’t built until 1917. Now, it’s possible Confederate soldiers returned to Wartrace, Tennessee, and died near the hotel, but no Civil War soldier, Union or Confederate, ever stepped foot inside the Walking Horse Hotel.
