An account exec with a PR firm that represents Travel Channel shows reached out and asked if I’d be interested in interviewing Bob Magill and Tina Storer about their new show, Ghost Bait, which premieres Thursday, April 4. You bet! Easy yes!
When I was offered the same chance to interview Amy and Adam from Kindred Spirits, I decided to throw it out there with the same question: what would you ask?
I got so many great questions. Thankfully. I’m not sure I would’ve known what to ask, but with a little help from friends, I was prepared!
Since the first time worked out so well, I decided I’d try it again this time. So…what would you ask?
It’s a little harder this time because we don’t have a series or two under our belts like we did with Kindred Spirits. Exactly. This show was a web series once upon a time, and it was on TV for one season.
That might make a good first question, huh? What will be the same from the first series, and what will be different?
I’m also not familiar with either of the stars, so let’s see if I can dig up some info that will maybe jog some questions.
What We Know About the Show
Here’s the info I have about Ghost Bait so far:
Bob and Tina will take on frightening, personal hauntings in America and help people overcome their fear of intense paranormal activity.
There will be 12 half-hour episodes.
The duo will use their client’s fear as bait to draw out the entity and force a confrontation.
In the premiere episode, Magill and Storer travel to the historic Brookdale Lodge in Santa Cruz, California, to investigate claims of an evil spirit bullying an employee named Agnes. The paranormal investigators discover the once famed hotel has a dark history filled with mysterious deaths and corruption.
What We Know About the Stars
Who are Bob Magill and Tina Storer? Both came to the paranormal after having experiences at a young age.
Magill is a paranormal pioneer with a Master of Social Sciences focused on psychology, anthropology and sociology. He’s also a licensed therapist. He combined his love of helping people and his obsession with the paranormal and created the web series “Ghost Bait” in 2011. Using state-of-the-art technology with his therapeutic background, he helped terrified people who were experiencing intense paranormal activity in their lives. Magill believes he is fulfilling a calling to help others who are experiencing the phenomenon like he did as a kid.
Storer is an investigator who knew from early on that she was in tune with the other side. However, she was afraid of the unknown. It wasn’t until she immersed herself in the world of ghosts and entities that she was able to overcome her fears. Storer has been investigating the paranormal for over 10 years, and has made it her mission to help others also overcome their biggest fears by facing them head on.
Check-In
Does any of this churn up a question or two in your mind? If so, you know what to do. Use the comment form to help a sister out, okay? I’ll be sure to write a follow up post with the Q&A that unfolds.
P.S. Thanks in advance for your help!
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Yikes, I don’t think I could do their investigative job! I would ask, “What’s the most dangerous entity you’ve ever encountered?”
That was a great question, Priscilla. Sadly it was one I ran out of time before I got to ask it. (Some of the first ones I asked led to other questions as the conversation evolved.) But if I ever do get a chance to ask it again, I will because I wanted to know!
P.S. If you see a whole bunch of replies from me, I’m catching up on comments. I noticed you have been GREAT about leaving some. Thank you!
Can’t watch the show..the constant beeping sounds are a bit much.
