Have you ever wished you could zap yourself into a classic horror movie, battle the villain and influence the ending? That’s what Halloween II: The Game allows you to do. It’s the third in a series of crowdfunded “Stop the Killer” games produced by MasiMedia in association with Fright Rags. (The first “Stop the Killer” game was Silent Night, Deadly Night: The Game. The second was My Bloody Valentine: The Game.)
Halloween II: The Game launched on Kickstarter on June 14, 2023, with a fundraising goal of $17,500. As of this post (just one day after the launch), they’ve already smashed that goal with over $64,000 in pledges.
Which isn’t surprising. Combined, the first two games raised $125,000. With 27 days left in the campaign, this one may well exceed that mark on its own.
And it’s not hard to see why. The game looks slick! The graphics are incredible on everything from the double-sided game board and the game cards to the “kill spinner.” But it also has little metal weapons, a badge, and skull pumpkin tokens representing your “lives” in the game.
Let’s take a closer look at what it’s all about.
About Halloween II: The Game
Here’s the game’s description:
Michael Myers is back in the retro-style tabletop game based on the classic slasher sequel. Play as Dr. Loomis, Jimmy, Sheriff Brackett, Nurse Karen, and more characters from the film as you try to stop The Shape from reaching Haddonfield Memorial Hospital and killing Laurie Strode.
It’s made for 1-4 players and offers three levels of difficulty. In their quest to stop Michael, players collect weapons, face obstacles, set up roadblocks, draw unpredictable cards, answer trivia questions, and flick the retro spinner to determine their fate.
Kickstarter-Exclusive Edition
The Kickstarter-exclusive edition includes:
- Two expansion packs with eight additional player pieces (including Laurie Strode, Budd, Marion Chambers, and others)
- 10 more game cards
- A trivia setback round where players answer questions to stop Michael from killing Laurie if he’s getting too close.
Stretch Goal Upgrades
As “stretch goals” are met during the campaign, other upgrades unlock. Since it’s already been so successful, only two of the eight stretch goals remain locked.
But it’s looking like they’ll be met. So two more Myers game pieces and two more metal weapons will join the deluxe dice shaker, collectible poster and stickers, drawstring bag, and more that will also be included in the game.
Cost
Pricing starts at $59 for one game. But if you want to buy more (like to gift to other Halloween franchise-loving friends), there’s a smidge of a discount. ($99 for two games, $149 for three.)

Check-In
Which character from the film would you choose to play as: Dr. Loomis, Jimmy, Sheriff Brackett, or Nurse Karen?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
