Haunt Jaunts 2011 Plans Already All Shot to Shit

Excuse my French. I don’t cuss much. (Only when I’m super mad. Then watch out. Not only do the bad words fly, but sometimes even my fists, depending on just how mad I am. Oh, yes, it’s hard for some to believe but I do have a temper and I’m not afraid to use it when it blows!)

However, most times I’d rather find a clever way to turn a phrase rather than going for an expletive just anyone could use. However, “shot to shit” perfectly sums up what’s so far happened to all the plans I’d had for Haunt Jaunts in 2011.

HAUNTED TRAVELS

Three trips I figured were going to happen this year were San Francisco, Vegas, and New York City.

San Francisco still might, but it’s not looking as good as I first hoped. Vegas is off. New York should still be a go. One out of three ain’t bad, I guess.

Also, I can’t really complain. I get to go to New Orleans unexpectedly as well as on a spur of the moment cruise. This time we’re headed to the Western Caribbean with chances to scope out some Mayan ruins. (Plus do some snorkeling!) Didn’t see that one coming! I got my waterproof camera so now I’m all set for this jaunt.

NO TALK TALK

When Chuck Manning of Global Paranormal approached me at the end of last year about the radio show he’s putting together I was flattered. I’m a natural ham so any chance for public speaking I’m all for.

However, I was blinded my my own vanity. I launched another blog this year (unrelated to anything paranormal, but if you’re interested in my life as an aspiring bestselling author juggling a stay-at-home wife life feel free to check out my SAHW Experiment.) I’ve also got two books in the works. Along with my travel, tennis and volleyball commitments, I barely am keeping up as it is.

Chuck’s show is going to be weekly. I won’t have time to prepare weekly material for that along with everything else I’ve got brewing, so I had to unfortunately back out. No talk talk for me. (Except for whatever videos I concoct.)

TRAVEL GUIDE AND CALENDAR

Because of all the other stuff I’ve got going on, I haven’t had time to even look into getting the calendar going. That’s okay. I still have time, but it likely won’t be for a 2012 calendar.

Hopefully the world doesn’t end next year and I have a chance to try and pull it together for 2013.

But my travel guide…it might not get published this year, but it will be done. At least that’s still on target!

But all I gotta say is, “Shoosh! If January is any indication how the rest of 2011 is going to be…whoa! It’s a good thing I’m flexible and adaptable. Seems like I’m going to be tapping into that store a lot!”

  1. I know exactly how you feel – it’s like trying to juggle with sawdust. I started the year with maybe a dozen things on my to-do list and now I have about 15 (and none of them the original 12) – ah well, I suppose I am making SOME progress. The new blog is great by the way….thankyou VERY much…..now I have another of your blogs to follow and use up more time reading your excellent rants 🙂

  2. I have a long to-do list for just the first half of the year which includes getting projects done, and trips. I know some of it will change, but that happens. Hang in there Court, the cruise sounds great.

Dave, oh man…there you go again. “juggling with sawdust” CLASSIC! Yes, that IS what it’s like! And the part about your list growing to 15 and now not being the original 12…LMAO! You’re a hoot. Oh, and thanks so much for checking out my other little blog. You never know what will be on there so beware…

Julie, Before I forget again, I don’t know where “Adsila” somes from but I keep meaninG to tell you I LOVE IT! Cool name! It sounds like you’re actually accomplishing your list. I am trying not to be green with envy…it’s hard though. I’m not gonna lie. lol I will keep trying to hang in there. And, really, it’s not as bad as I make it out to be. I mean, weather permitting that when we get ready to leave another whopper snow storm doesn’t come through and cancel our flight out, I’m heading on another cruise. I can’t be too upset about that!
