Haunt Jaunts has decided to become more interactive in the New Year. We’ve decided to add a forum to our site. You can find it on our new HJ Forum page.

WHY A FORUM?

We know several great paranormal social networking sites. Two of our favorites are GhostVillage.com and Haunted Society.

We decided we’d like to create more of a community around here too. Or at least offer a way for people to mix and mingle more if they so desire.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN THE HJ FORUM

We’ve created a few sections where you can discuss everything from haunted travel to favorite books and movies and much more in between. Here’s what we’ve set up so far:

The Community LoungeA general place to kick back and mingle with other Haunt Jaunters. Categories in the lounge include:

  • Meet & Greet – Come on in, introduce yourself, and meet other Haunt Jaunters.
  • All About All Hallow’s Eve – The place for Halloween lovers to mix & mingle. Home haunters, people who put on or love going to haunted attractions, costumes…whatever you like best about Halloween, feel free to express it here.
  • Book Nook – Read a good book lately? Written a newly released book? This is the place for book lovers to connect. Non-fiction and fiction welcome!
  • Movies – Scary movies rule! Discuss your favorite movies or upcoming releases you’re anticipating here.
  • Radio Shows/Podcasts – Calling all radio show hosts, producers, & fans. Promote upcoming shows, discuss things you’ve heard on shows, etc.
  • TV Shows – Talk about whatever show you’re passionate about, whether it’s Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, The Dead Files, Paranormal Witness, American Horror Story, The Walking Dead, etc.
  • Anything Goes – Don’t see a category for what you want to talk about? This is where anything goes. Talk about whatever you want!

Paranormal Ballroom – Where the ghosts and paranormal tourists hang out. Here you’ll find:

  • Haunted Places – Haunted hotels, eerie eateries, historic haunts…Whether you’ve recently been to a haunted place, or have a favorite haunted place you’d like to talk more about, feel free to do it here.
  • Ghost Tours – Talk about ghost tours you’ve been on or want to go on, get suggestions for tours to take on your next haunted vacation, or promote any ghost tours you’re affiliated with.
  • Paranormal Events – The place to promote events or talk about upcoming events you’re attending.
  • Your Ghost Story – Share your paranormal experience here, whether it was with a ghost, a Bigfoot sighting, a UFO encounter, etc.

WORKING OUT THE KINKS

Please bear with us as we work out the kinks. The forum is brand new to us. If you encounter problems, please feel free to tell us. We’ll do our best to work you through whatever issue we’re having so you can utilize the forum freely.

SUGGESTIONS WELCOME

If you’d like us to add a category we overlooked, please feel free to leave us a comment below.

STEP RIGHT IN

Whether you have a ghost tour group, an event, a radio show, a new book, are a passionate fan of anything having to do with the paranormal (a certain haunted place, other blogs, TV or radio shows, movies, etc), we invite you to come hang out in our forum and help us create a fun, dynamic, and lively place to kick your heels up. Or your talons. (Do bat’s have talons? I was trying to make a reference to the bat in our image above. It’s late as I’m posting this. My humor may not be translating as I’d like.)

  1. good deal…I’ll be stopping by to see ongoing posts…Your call for more radio show information makes sense. I feel that radio can deal with these issues in depth — in ways that TV can’t or won’t!

    Cheers,
    Kathryn

  2. Author

I never thought about radio being able to do that, Kathryn, but you’re right. It can. And I guess if I think about some of the shows I know of, they do. You pointed something else out I’d never thought of before. (You did that in another comment too.)
