A couple of months ago, I wrote about how a fellow Jaunter, who also happens to be a cruise professional, approached me and asked if I’d be interested in helping to plan a paranormal cruise at sea. We’ve been working out the details and have now narrowed it down to two cruise choices.

Before we lock anything in, I thought I’d take a poll and get a feel for which one people seemed more interested in. I don’t want to give too much away, but I’ll give you some details about both of them.

CHOICE #1: EARLY SEPTEMBER NEW YORK AND CANADA JAUNT

  • This one sails from New York and one of the stops is Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada. (We jaunted to the haunted Halifax Citadel when we were there, then walked around the city. Gravers would like the cemeteries. Very interesting histories, including a deep connection with Titanic. Three of them contain graves of victims recovered from the tragedy. Fairview Lawn Cemetery is where the largest number of victims recovered from Titanic are interred.)
  • This one costs a bit more than choice two because it is a 5 night cruise.

CHOICE #2: BERMUDA TRIANGLE HALLOWEEN PARTY

  • This one sails from Miami at the end of October. (Yes, you would be on the ship for Halloween, which means costume party at sea!) In addition to sailing to haunted Key West (and a chance to perhaps see Robert the Doll), the ship heads to Nassau, which sits within the Bermuda Triangle.
  • This one costs a bit less (but not drastically so, just a smidge) because it is a 4 night cruise.

DECISIONS, DECISIONS

I’m really torn myself. On the one hand, I love Canada and was enchanted with Halifax. I’d love to go back. There are some great haunts up there and it would make a really fun jaunt.

On the other hand, I’ve long said I’d love to be on a cruise over Halloween. Having a costume party at sea? So incredibly tempting!

But this time I’m not going by myself. I’m hoping to have a lot of company. If you’d be interested in joining, even if you’re not sure you can make it, I’d love to have you weigh in with a vote.

Either use the poll or leave a comment with your thoughts. It would really help me, Ms. Indecisive, in planning my first Haunt Jaunt event.

  1. Hmmm, the poll doesn’t seem to register my vote, but I’m all for Bermuda Triangle! Thanks to Mr. Gates and his new book, I am more inspired than ever to jaunt to destinations I’ve never been before. And well, I’ve been to NY and Canada. A Halloween Party with Haunt Jaunts would be awesome! At sea to boot? Celebrating my favorite holiday on the ocean (one of my favorite places to be), with at least one of my favorite paranormal peeps? Yeah, this one’s a no-brainer.

  2. LOL, figures…after I post my comment the vote thingie decides to work.

Oh no. My ghosts are messing with you again, aren’t they? So sorry. They’re so bad!!!

  4. I would love to go especially to the Bermuda Triangle but not enough money or time to get it together. Maybe next year!

Oh, I should’ve been more clear, Adsila. Both cruises are for NEXT year (2012), not this one!

  6. I would definately prefer the Bermuda Triangle!

  7. Next year, fantastic! I just may want to go.

That would be SOOOOO awesome. Even better if Sharon was able to make it too. I would absolutely LOVE meeting you all in person. And on a cruise? WHOA! I don’t know if it could get much better than that!!!!
