Happy New Year!
I’ve taken a little more time away than I had planned. That was sort of the theme of 2013. I had a bunch of big ideas and goals for Haunt Jaunts last year, but every time I turned around something new was popping up to deter me.
I seriously considered giving up Haunt Jaunts all together for a while. After Murphy died I took some time off to really think long and hard about whether I’d continue or not.
During my time off, my mind kept returning back to posts I hadn’t yet written and wanted to, books I still haven’t written but want to, and how I could redesign the blog to reflect what I really want it to emphasize most: which is all the neat haunted places I’ve come across.
So…I’ve taken some time at the beginning of this new year to update my site’s personality.
I hope it’s a little more user friendly and easy to navigate. If you get a chance let me know what you think.
Hope you had a happy holiday season and that your new year is off to a great start. As always, thanks for your support and patronage!
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
