Thanks again goes to Twitter for my next guest blogger introduction: William Collins who’s also known by the username Thor2000 in some circles or @Thor_2000 on Twitter. I’m just going to call him Thor because it’s how I think of him when I see his Twitter name.
At any rate, Thor is a man of many talents and interests. Mythology, paranormal research, humor, and writing are all among his interests and pursuits. A quick glance at the sites he maintains and is affiliated with confirms this. (Especially the humorist part. It’s a dry, subtle kind of humor.)
- Collinsport Ghost Society. (He’s the Team Leader for this Fictional Ghost Society for Fictional Haunted Houses.)
- The Nitpicker Society for Dark Shadows
- The Official Guide to the Mythological Universe
- Unsolved Mysteries Wikia
He also describes himself as a “paranormal purist.” It was that revelation in one of our Twitter exchanges that sparked me to say, “Hey, you wanna guest blog about that and what it all means?”
I’m still not sure if he will, or if he’ll treat us to something else. (One of the things he mentioned he might guest blog about is the five best and five worst haunted house movies from the perspective of a paranormal purist. I thought that sounded interesting and fresh. But he also has other ideas, too, so…it’ll be a delicious surprise to see what he concocts for us!)
Keep a lookout for his post. And don’t forget, the invitation’s always open if you’d ever like to be a HJ guest blogger too.
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
