Earlier this year we found out that Haunted Discoveries, a new paranormal series with a twist, was coming soon. We still don’t know when exactly. A release date still hasn’t been announced yet. But it must be getting closer because a Haunted Discoveries trailer recently dropped.

A tweet containing the video is embedded below. Among other things, it tells us there are eight episodes. (Well, the tweet sharing the trailer does.) Here’s a quick summary of what else we can surmise from the trailer though.

Haunted Discoveries Trailer Summary

We knew from the “coming soon” Haunted Discoveries announcement that the paranormal docu-series would be helmed by A&E’s Ghost Hunters investigators Brandon Alvis and Mustafa Gatollari. We also knew they’d be joined by historical researcher Malia Miglino and longtime paranormal investigator Kevin Otte.

In the trailer, we get to see them in action a little as well as hear them. Here’s some of what they had to say about the new series and their involvement in it.

Alvis said, “I’m looking to take that next step. That next step in my research and my life to really fully immerse myself in the possibility of consciousness surviving death. I hope I find those answers in this journey and I hope that I make the right decision.”

Gatollari said, “For me, the heart of the haunting is that familial connection.”

And Miglino excitedly added, “For the first time ever I actually had the opportunity to be a part of a team to try and potentially contact these people that I’ve been researching. And I’ve never done that before.”

We also get to hear some emotional first-hand testimony. Is it from those either living in the haunted places or whose deceased relatives are the ones allegedly doing the haunting, though? I’m not entirely clear on that. Might make a great question to ask Alvis and Gatollari. (See “Check-In Part 1” below for more about that.)

We also learn that Alvis convinced Gatollari to move APRA headquarters to Kentucky. (APRA = American Paranormal Research Association, a scientific paranormal research organization.) And of course there are some snippets from their investigations too.

Check-In Part 1

Besides where and when we can start watching Haunted Discoveries, do you have any other questions for Brandon Alvis or Mustafa Gatollari? I’ll get to talk with them on Tuesday, June 14. If time permits, I’d be happy to ask something on your behalf!

Check-In Part 2

Thanks to the Travel Channel/discovery+ 2022 programming announcement, we know there was no mention of Haunted Discoveries among the new series debuting later this year. So it’s not likely that’s where we’ll see it. Maybe it will be on an AVOD like Crackle or Tubi? Or maybe cable somewhere, like Syfy? Perhaps YouTube?

For reasons I’ll explain in another post, I’m going to say Tubi.

What about you? Want to venture a guess where you think Haunted Discoveries might premiere?
