If you’ve been around long enough and are a regular, you may be remember a couple years ago when I was doing Haunted Headline videos and posts every week. Actually, the videos were based on the posts.
I really enjoyed doing them, but it got to be a little much. Certain times of the year (August through October) get crammed with paranormal stories. I couldn’t keep up.
But like I’ve done since I started HJ in 2009, I’ve continued to share headlines as I come across them on HJ’s Twitter and Facebook. Inevitably some are crazier or more fun than others. There are times I wish I was still doing the Haunted Headline videos to poke fun at them.
Recently a few were so crazy I couldn’t help it. I wrote them down and decided, yep. It was time to resurrect the Haunted Headlines.
But I’m doing it in an abbreviated form. Before, every week I was sharing a ton of headlines I came across. I’m capping it at five now. That should keep it manageable. Plus, I’m only sharing the headlines, not a brief synopsis of the post.
Each week, on Mondays for In Case You Missed It (ICYMI) Monday, I’ll pick three to five of the best headlines that I’ve shared on Twitter or Facebook. They might not necessarily be the ones with the most likes, shares or engagement. They’ll just be the ones I can have the most fun with.
I’ll share them in both podcast and video form. I’ve embedded both this week’s podcast episode and the YouTube vid below. But you can also watch on Facebook and IGTV, so if you follow us there too and see it pop up, you’ll know what it is.

Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
I feel sorry for the woman who got an eyeball tattoo. I wouldn’t do it. The eye is so delicate, and eyesight is so precious.
Exactly! I’m not sure what she was thinking but YOW!
