“I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream,” may be more than just a catchy chant this Halloween season. If you’re down for some eerie eats, starting Oct. 1, Baskin-Robbins is really spicing things up with its haunting new Flavor of the Month, Spicy ‘n Spooky. It’s also celebrating the spirit of the season with the new Trixie the Ghost Cake. Let’s take a closer look at both.
New Baskin-Robbins Spicy ‘n Spooky Flavor
Spicy ‘n Spooky features the bold flavor of real ghost pepper. The scary good scoop combines white chocolate ghost pepper flavored ice cream with rich, black dark chocolate ice cream and spicy blood orange flakes. Talk about a unique flavor experience, right?
While each individual flavor component stands out on its own, every scoop comes together in a blend of spicy and sweet for those who have what it takes to give it a try.
“As ice cream experts with more than 1,400 flavors in our library, we continue to find ways to push boundaries and incorporate exciting new ingredients into our scoops like real ghost pepper and our darkest chocolate yet,” said Jeanne Bolger, Director of Research and Development for Baskin-Robbins. “We’re excited to evoke the spookiness that comes with the season, using flavor elements we’ve never offered before in an ice cream, and we’re looking forward to guests’ reactions for those who are brave enough to try Spicy ‘n Spooky.”
New Trixie the Ghost Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream Cake
In addition to the new Spicy ‘n Spooky Baskin-Robbins flavor, they’re also introducing the perfect addition to any Halloween party: Trixie the Ghost Cake.
With a cobweb bow made of decorating icing and fudge and whimsical ghostly features created with dark melting chocolate, Trixie the Ghost knows the best part of Halloween is getting all dressed up.
Better yet, you can customize the cake with your favorite ice cream flavor, including ones made with SNICKERS® or REESE’S® Peanut Butter Cup, depending on your favorite Halloween candy.
Trixie the Ghost Cake can be pre-ordered online, through the Baskin-Robbins mobile app, or by contacting your local Baskin-Robbins shop.

Do you like spicy foods?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
I love the sound of this daring ice cream flavor! Yes, I like spicy foods. But darn, there’s not a Baskin Robbins in our rural area. I wonder if Braum’s will have any special flavors for the spooky month…
I adore spicy foods! (Priscilla, check out the unique flavours of Van Leeuwen ice creams…they have some here, and it’s pretty rural too. https://vanleeuwenicecream.com/)
“Oooh…Braum’s? What is that?” your comment made me wonder. Looks sort of like a Culver’s. I’d love to try one sometime!
And this Van Leeuwen sounds great too, Willow! I’ll be sure to try them if I spot it during out next trip out to CO!
