Are you a Stranger Things fan? If you could jaunt inside Hawkins Lab, would you? If you answered yes, you’ll get a chance when the lab is not only resurrected but made open to the public —as long as you have a ticket to Stranger Things: The Experience, that is.
The immersive event will take place in two cities, New York and San Francisco, in 2022, but tickets go on sale on July 8, 2021. As you might imagine, they’re expected to sell out fast.
Let’s take a closer look at what Stranger Things: The Experience is all about.
Stranger Things: The Experience Description
Here’s the event description from their sites:
Beware, nerd: the Gate to the Upside Down is opening! Hawkins Lab is back, and only the bravest guests are invited to discover the secrets within its walls. Write your story as you journey through a delightful gathering of iconic locations and fan-favorite moments, enjoying one-of-a-kind photo ops and uncovering plenty of thrills along the way. There may also be the occasional testing, analysis, or psych evaluation. But don’t worry—it’s safe… perfectly safe…
The indoor walking experience inside Hawkins Lab will last about an hour. Visitors will get a chance to interact with the performers, and then afterwards hang out in the Mix-Tape Area. It will have “immersive photo ops, engaging interactivity, delicious food and drink themed from the show, and a one-of-a-kind Stranger Things Bar.”
And what about a dress code? It won’t be enforced but visitors are encouraged to “strap on their fanny packs and shoulder pads other bodacious accessories” and revel in the full 80s spirit.
Stranger Things: The Experience Locations and Dates
The event will take place in May 2022 from “a secret location in New York” and in June 2022 from “a secret location in San Francisco.”
Stranger Things: The Experience Ticket Prices
They start at $54 per person.

Check-In
Which of the following best describes you?
- Stranger Things fan.
- Never watched the show, don’t know a thing about it.
- Diehard ST fan who thinks season 4 can’t drop soon enough!
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Yes, I’m a Stranger Things fan. I think the first season was the best so far. I would enjoy a tour through the lab as long as nobody shaves my head and sticks me in a glass room!
LOL! No! Except what about the hospital gown? You didn’t mention that…would that be okay? lol
It’s 90 degrees and muggy here today. A breezy hospital gown sounds heavenly!:-)
OMG that made me laugh so hard. 3 more bankable bonus points for you!
