Anyone who knows me knows I love cruising. (Especially to Alaska.) My husband and I took our first cruise in 2001. Even though it wouldn’t be until 2008 that we took our second (to Alaska), that was the cruise that did it. We’ve been hooked ever since.
We’re steadily working our way up to our 20th cruise. (We’re at 16 or 17 right now. We’ve lost track a little bit.)
The Joy of Cruising
We love it because it’s allowed us to sample the world. Mexico, Asia, the British Isles, the Mediterranean…I’ve been to some pretty exotic places that I never dreamed I’d see. (Well exotic to me anyway.)
One thing we’ve never done is taken any kind of group cruise, though. Mostly because we’re bargain cruisers.
We cruise at least once a year, twice if we can. One year we were able to take three! (That was part of my Five Years in the Clear cancer celebrations, though.)
My husband is all about getting the most bang for his buck, which means we cruise pretty frugally. If it’s not $100 per day (preferably less), it’s out of contention. (Luckily he has made some exceptions for a couple of trips, including this summer’s Alaska one. Have I mentioned that’s my favorite place?)
However, if I (a) had a husband who didn’t pay such close attention to cost-per-day ratios, (b) had a husband who shared my interest in the paranormal, and (c) I wasn’t so picky about which cruise line I’m on, I’d be interested in taking one of the group cruises organized by Holiday Maker Travel LLC.
Holiday Maker Travel Cruises
Wendy Migliore and her husband Mike run HMT. She’s been really good keeping me in the loop about upcoming cruises they’re offering.
She was the inspiration behind “How To Spend 4 Nights With The Tennessee Wraith Chasers.” That was the sold out TWC Fan Cruise they did this past March.
Missed that one? She’s got another one coming up in 2019 called Wicked Waters. I’ve got it listed along with the others below, but sneak peak: Scott Porter of the Tennessee Wraith Chasers will be on that one.
If you’re interested in a paranormal group cruise, here’s what Holiday Maker Travel has got for you the rest of 2018 and so far in to 2019:

If time or money was not an option, which would you choose?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
