There’s a breaking news update to season 4 of In Pursuit with John Walsh. The season finale aired on Nov. 9, 2022. Six days later, on Nov. 15, 2022, fugitive Alex Bennett from Baltimore, Maryland, was captured after months of being on the run.
Bennett was featured in that finale episode, which was titled “Last Ride.” He was wanted for one of the most heinous crimes a person can commit, allegedly raping a child, which happened in 2020.
However, thanks to the power of In Pursuit with John Walsh, a tip came in after the episode aired. It helped authorities further figure out Bennett’s location and ultimately led to his arrest.
The United States Marshals said Bennett was arrested on the east coast by Deputies from the District of Maryland’s Silver Shield unit, supported by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. Authorities confirm Bennett was taken to the Central Booking and Intake Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
“15 Seconds of Shame” Leads to 46th Fugitive Caught
Bennett was the most recent fugitive featured on In Pursuit with John Walsh in a segment titled “15 Seconds of Shame.” That segment is one of the most powerful tools in John Walsh’s arsenal. It’s a way to bring awareness to additional fugitives in the show.
Bennett’s capture marks the capture of the 46th fugitive who has been featured on In Pursuit.
“The impact of ID’s true crime series In Pursuit with John Walsh is one that transcends the television screen, and I couldn’t be prouder to see our dedicated fanbase help track down fugitives on the run, find missing children and bring home justice,” said Jason Sarlanis, President of Crime and Investigative Content, Linear and Streaming. “John, and his co-host and son Callahan, are arguably the most successful fugitive hunters on the planet who help make the world a much smaller place to hide for anyone on the run.”
In Pursuit Proves Its Importance
The lead U.S. Marshal, Albert Maresca, reinforced the importance of programs like ID’s In Pursuit with John Walsh to help elevate cases. He noted that “tips from the public play a critical role in helping investigators locate and apprehend fugitives like Bennett.”
Suspecting some fugitives have fled the country, the show is broadcast globally with ID’s worldwide reach as part of Warner Bros. Discovery.

Don’t you just love when there are updates on true crime shows like this one that In Pursuit with John Walsh just released?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
I do love it when there are positive updates to a story!
You’re right. It’s really nice to know good does come out of these shows sometimes.
