We already knew a couple of things about In the Vault season 2. Well, two things primarily. One, that it premieres on Crackle on August 18. But also that it promises more mystery.
As Jeff Meier, head of programming at Crackle Plus, put it, “In the Vault is a suspenseful and fun series that really hooked our viewers in season one and we can’t wait to bring them the next installment in the saga of Woodlawn College. Season two will have everyone holding their breath on the edge of their seats with all new twists, turns and secrets.”
Thanks to Crackle, I had a chance to screen the first three episodes of In the Vault S2. They also gifted me with an exclusive clip. Let’s check it all out.
And if you’re looking for a spoiler warning, don’t worry. No spoilers here. Just a lot of hint dropping.
In the Vault S2 Episodes
Like they did in season 1, the second season follows a different character each episode. (And that’s how they’re titled.) But it’s a puzzle piece showing how they tie into the central storyline overall, as well as revealing personal skeletons in each character’s closet.
In the Vault S2, episodes 1, 2, and 3 are “Evin,” “Jane,” and “Valentina,” respectively. And I’ll keep my “no spoilers” promise, but I will say that the first three episodes reveal who really killed Liv Steele and why. And then it sets up another mystery or two.
The episodes also introduce a couple of new characters, including Lex (played by Rachel Naomi Hilson) and Wallace (played by Dominque Columbus).
Familiar faces returning from season 1 include Jane (Audrey Whitby), Evin (Caleb Castille), Omid (Paul Karmiryan), Denise (Sadie Kuwano*), Chris (Jac Bernhard), and Karlis (Taylor Gray).
There are also a couple of returning characters, but their faces may look different as they’re played by different actors, including Taylor Price (he was played by Timothy Granaderos in S1 and Markus Silbiger in S2) and Valentina Velez (she was played by Julia Kelly in S1 and Arienne Mandi in S2).
*Sadie Kuwano is credited as Sadie Schwolsky in the series.

Have you binged any good whodunit/howdunit mystery series lately?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
