I love interviewing people but I’m rarely the interviewee. That’s why it was so much fun to participate in Pamela K. Kinney’s Supernatural Friday: Interviewing Courtney of HauntJaunts.
Pamela is the author of both fiction and non-fiction, including a couple of haunted places books:
Haunted Virginia: Legends, Myths, and True Tales
Haunted Richmond
Back in 2009 I discussed Virginia’s haunt jaunts with Ms. Kinney. Virginia is a state I still want to get to someday. For some reason, I haven’t been able to work my way over there yet.
But I will. Ms. Kinney has also been so kind to extend me the hospitality of showing me some of her favorite haunts when I do finally get there. You better believe I will take her up on that offer!
Anyway, if you check out the interview, please be sure to leave a comment. (I was a little late getting online today due to some personal issues, so I was tickled PINK to see two people had already commented. Among them, a blogger a highly revere and admire: Lewis Powell IV of Southern Spirit Guide. That sure made my weekend! He was also interviewed for Ms. Kinney’s Supernatural Friday series. Great interview. While you’re there you might have fun checking it out too.)
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Great interview! And thanks for the flattering comments!
Thanks for letting me interview you.
Love your blog
Hey, congratulations on the interview! Hope your book/travel guide includes a chapter on OZ … maybe Lonely Planet will pick up on it??!!
Have a great day!!!
Thanks Red! I like you’re thinking. I need to get my rear to Australia. Your blog just makes me want to go even more! And I AM going to be including something about Australia’s paranormal tourism in a blog. But if I could finance it so I could go check out your haunted hot spots myself…I’d be all over that!
Thank you, Neva. The feeling is mutual!
LOL! No letting involved. I was super psyched you asked.! =]
I appreciate you. Interview is very nice. I like your blog. I had got some new information from your interview. Thanks for sharing.
Very good interview Courtney….
Thanks for taking the time to check it out!
Hey, where did my comment go to you? Dangit! I had said thank you and they were well deserved flattering remarks. 😉 (Or something to that effect…)
Thank you for taking the time to check it out.
