Ghosts in the empty town. Against the background of a Gothic castle

HorrorAddicts.net is doing something I wished I’d thought up: a Vile Vacations series. They’re even accepting guest posts.

The multi-talented Emerian Rich, a Horror Hostess at HorrorAddicts.net, was the one who gave me a heads up about submitting a Vile Vacations guest post.

(If her name rings a bell and you think you’ve heard it around here before, you have! Her story, “Bye, Bye, Blackbird” is in our anthology: Shadow People and Cursed Objects: 13 Tales of Terror Based on True Stories…or are they?.)

7 Chilling Museums

You’d think whipping out a guest post about scary vacation destinations would be a cinch for me, right?

Well, it wasn’t.

And, yet, it also was.

Say what?

Confused? Welcome to my club! That’s what I was too.

I had so many ideas that I could write about, it took me a while to settle on which one I’d like to grace their site. (I’ve recently learned there’s a name for such behavior: analysis paralysis. Yep. Fitting. Suffer it regularly.)

I ended up deciding on macabre museums for each of these seven categories:

  1. Death
  2. Cryptids
  3. Mothman
  4. Witches
  5. Bigfoot
  6. Haunted and Cursed Objects
  7. Horror

If you want to know which museums are dedicated to each category, go check out my guest post on HorrorAddicts.net: Guest Blog: Vile Vacations 7 Chilling Museums By Courtney Lynn Mroch!

Missing One?

Yes! Dang it! One for UFOs/aliens (as in the extraterrestrial kind).

Should’ve included the International UFO Museum and Research Center (a.k.a. Roswell UFO Museum).

I didn’t. Will have to remedy that. How?

Might make a fun post about other UFO museums. (Since there are more than one.) Maybe another Vile Vacations guest post? (If not a guest post elsewhere. Kind of fun to have other sites post something and then write about it here.)
