Like most everything else in my life, I’m dreadfully behind on my reading. Hey, what can I say? I was expecting a long, cold winter. One where I could hunker down and read to my heart’s content.
Instead, it’s been a mild winter. Not to mention a crazy one. Oh, what I wouldn’t give for just two weeks without any kind of crisis, turmoil, or chaos to throw me off kilter. (Heaven knows I don’t need help with distractions as it is. I’m easily discombobulated and I have a heck of a time righting myself when my ship’s been titled.)
Anyway, enough of that. No one cares to hear about my scatterbrained ways, I’m sure.
The point is, I’ve been gifted e-books by two more authors. One is a good friend of mine and the other is a new-to-me author whose book immediately intrigued me. So to the pile I add:
In the Footsteps of Dracula: A Personal Journey and Travel Guide by Steven P. Unger
and
Nightfall by P.W. Creighton
Very much looking forward to reading both. If you happen to get to either before I do, let me know what you think of them, will ya?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
