A few examples of what you could win.

Okay, I’m doing something a little different. I’m giving fair warning that a contest is coming. As usual, newsletter subscribers will be rewarded with bonus entries. And what will the prizes be? Your choice of a pin from the new Para & Horror Pins idea list in the Skareporium.

“Where’d this brilliant idea come from?” (Read that sarcastically. It sounds better.)

It all started the other day when I was doing some Amazon shopping. If you’re an Amazon shopper too, you know how they show you recommendations and sponsored products? Well, whatever I was searching for popped up with some pin recommendations.

Specifically, these:

The ticket to hell caught my eye, and the Mystery Machine full of classic Slashers tickled me, but it was the skeleton heart hands that made my heart swoon. I immediately wanted to see what other kind of such pins there were.

I was soon introduced to a world I didn’t even knew existed and BOOM! Just like that I created the new idea list to keep track of not only pins I’m going to get, but ones I know I want to gift friends. (Yep. Even you if you’re reading this and decide to enter when I announce the giveaway. If you dig them as much as I do, that is.)

“Yeah, but pins? What are we? In elementary school?”

Admittedly it seems a little childish, but these pins are not for kids. At least not elementary school kids. Maybe middle school ones. But not even them really. They’re definitely more geared to adults.

Or maybe they just appeal to the paranormal and horror loving kid inside this adult?

But can’t you just see the possibilities, too? They represent so many ways to show off our paranormal and horror movie loving pride. You can pin them on caps, jackets, luggage, backpacks, purses, shirt collars, scarves, the visor in your car…see? Maybe even more places I’m not even thinking of! (And if you think of some, shout ’em out in the comments!)

Either way, my mind’s made up. These pins are cool. I’ll be offering people their choice of one. (And, again, newsletter subscribers will be rewarded with bonus entries, so if you think they’re cool too and want to up your chances of winning and you’re not already signed up, here’s your chance!)

Still not convinced?

Okay, Doubter, I know you’ll be too lazy to click through to the Skareporium to check out all the pins, so I’ll share a few more here:

How do you like them pins now, sucker?

If you type in “horror pins” a bunch come up. I wish I could remember what I had searched originally. It wasn’t pins, but they came up and that’s all it took. Now I’m hooked!
