Here’s some info about another haunted dining experience, this time from a restaurant in Long Beach, New York. Starting October 8, The Beach House is transforming itself into the Nightmare on Beech Street.
It’s not one of Fever’s Haunted Dining in the Dark experiences. Although Patch staff member Jerry Barmash did report that in addition to a Halloween-themed decor and menu, the restaurant’s owner said the lights would be dimmed.
The Nightmare on Beech Street sounds like it’s built more for those who like to partake in Halloween-style haunted houses and who wouldn’t mind having dinner in one. Let’s check out what it’s all about.
Blood Manor Brings Nightmare to Beech Street
Per Nightmare on Beech Street’s event page, the concept is a partnership with Blood Manor, New York City’s premier haunted house.
“The evil contained within Blood Manor is no longer contained to its infamous Broadway location. The horror has spread to Beech Street in Long Beach, NY.”
The Blood Manor team will transform the restaurant “to create a spooky atmosphere.” One that’s a totally immersive experience. Not only will the waiters be in costume, but costumed actors from the haunted house will be wandering around interacting with guests and delivering scares.
Gulp!
Reservations are required —and are already selling out fast!
Nightmare on Beech Street Menu
They’re having a lot of fun with the food and drinks. Your meal includes one appetizer, one entree, and a dessert.
Appetizers include BoOo-ffalo Cauliflower, Ghoulish Guac, Bug Bites (pretzel bites with cheese sauce), and Mummy’s Curse Flatbread.
Entrees include Ghoulish Gourd Ravioli, Butcher Burger, Witches Hair Pasta, Afraid Mignon (OMG I love this name!), and Poultry-Geist.
For dessert, you can choose from Tricks or Treats (candy basket), Clown Cake (rainbow birthday cake), Creepy Crawlies (Fried Oreos), or the Great Pumpkin Cheesecake.
And, of course, they’ve also conjured up equally clever-named spirited beverages, including The Blue Death, Monster Mash Margarita, Rasp-bloody, The Overlook 77, The Blood Chalice, Candy Apple Martini, Death Wish-key, Jack-O-Lantern Juice, and The Occultist.

Check-In
What appetizer, entree, and dessert would you pick? And if you drink, which beverage sounds good to you?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Goulish Guac, Afraid Mignon, and a piece of Great Pumpkin Cheesecake for me, please. I’d wash it all down with bottomless coffee black as the sky on Halloween night at 11:59.:-)
Oooo! Check you out! That should be a REAL coffee name “Black as the Sky on Halloween Night”!!!! BRILLIANT!!!
