HOW TO ENTER
Leave a comment below answering this question: Where do you like to read?
That’s it. Easy right? (Life’s too complicated a lot of times. Once in a while you just have to make it simple.)
This time around it’s ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PERSON.
OTHER INFO
DEADLINE: April 12, 2010.
DRAWING: April 13, 2010. (I’ll be doing the random number generator thing, so your number will be based on the order in which your comment is received. Yep, I’ll tape it as proof, too.)
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This wasn’t part of the original posting. I added it on 4/7/10. Entries can only be mailed within the U.S. I apologize for not stating this earlier and any inconvenience it may cause.
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Ooh! that paranormal mystery suree sounds good to me! Well I like to read :
On the deck,
at the picnic table,
at the kitchen table,
In bed,
in the car (when i’m NOT the driver ha!)
almost everywhere – but no NOT in the john!
:>)
Wow! Sounds like a great prize pack! You should have one-year blogiversaries more often. Congrats, again! 🙂
I read EVERYWHERE. I always have books with me and I read them whenever there is downtime. I even have a Kindle on my iPhone so if I don’t have a book, there are books on my phone. 😀
On my comfy bed or couch. If I had a deck, that would be the place.
Wow you’re in a giving mood. There’s only two places I read: at my desk or in bed. Can’t really concentrate anywhere else.
Well, you said coffee so I couldn’t pass this one up. I always read on the couch, usually where I fall asleep. Hope you’re doing okay. Jeez, I haven’t talked to you in a while.
I like to read wherever and whenever I can. Whenever the kids aren’t jumping on my head and I’m not at work. I carry my book with me almost every place and if it gets quiet, I read.
I love to read in the library – my library has this ultra soft sofas and these huge huge windows and it’s so quiet and refreshing inside! Other than that I’d have to say sprawled on the couch at home 🙂
Thanks for the post! I love it!
I enjoy reading on the bus or plane (on the way to somewhere) or on my plush couch!
Thanks for this amazing giveaway!
I love to read in bed. Trite, I know, but my bed has a comfy built-in chair back for a headboard and it makes it so relaxing to lie in bed and read some delicious Tanith Lee. I have a hard time losing myself in a book in public regardless of how immersive it is. The allure of people watching is too strong.
I love to read outside on my porch, stopping briefly to look out over the Smoky Mountains while I mull over the more interesting bits of the book.
Okay….I know I cannot enter… because I’m one of the authors whose book is being given away in this contest.
I just want to point out that the pic (above) of my book: A Ghost of a Chance
is the pic of the Amazon Kindle version and that the book I will send to the winner is the paperback version, also sold at Amazon and at all other book retailers. The book covers for my e-books and paperback versions are slightly different. You can see them and read free chapter excerpts on my web site: http://www.ElizabethEaganCox.net
Good Luck to all 😉
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Eagan-Cox
I forgot to answer the question, oops. My favorite place to read is outside – anywhere outside. Usually ends up being a bench at the playground while my kids play. I can judge the amount of exercise they’re getting by the number of books I finish! 🙂
My favorite place to read is in bed next to my loving husband while he is reading as well..Comfortable, Cozy, and Awesome 🙂
I like to read at a back table of my favorite brewpub, with a pint of locally made stout or nut brown ale… 🙂
