The wonderful Chris Davis (a.k.a. the Frog Queen) of Frog on the Pumpkin stopped by a long while back to share the Happy 101 Award with me. I never did get a chance to properly accept or acknowledge it. I decided since it’s all about what makes you happy and things you’re grateful for, Thanksgiving would be the perfect day to do so.

10 THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- When my health is good
- My husband
- My fur kids Murphy, Mr. Meow, and Tabby (Although my heart is heavy today because yesterday we had to admit Mr. Meow to the hospital. I’m not sure he’ll be able to come home and the thought of losing him makes me as unhappy as a pet mom can possibly get.)
- My friends
- Writing
- Tennis
- Volleyball
- Sleeping in
- Exploring new places
- Food
10 BLOGGERS WHO BRIGHTEN MY DAY
- Chris from Frog on the Pumpkin (yes, she already got this award but she makes me happy so I’m just following the rules and naming her anyway!)
- Dinell from Mommy D’s Kitchen
- Chris from Candid Canine
- Jessica from Ghost Stories and Haunted Places
- Julie from Above the Norm
- Autumnforest from Ghost Hunting Theories
- Andrea from Ghost Stories
- Jason, Michelle, and Laura (and any other contributing bloggers I may be forgetting) from The Occult Section
- Lisa from Wanderlust Women Travel
- Joey and Michelle from Guy & Girl Travels
There are others who make me happy too, but I’m being lazy today and not breaking rules to list them all. I am very thankful for all the bloggers I read and follow who enlighten and entertain me, though.
And I sure do wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. Gobble, gobble till you wobble! (That’s a new saying I learned this year and am having fun repeating it as much as possible.)
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
I love this award! Thank you so much for thinking of me. You are a sweetheart and I’m so happy that I make you happy 😉 You know how much I love to make people happy! Thank you Thank you Thank you!
Welcome, welcome, welcome!!! And as far as sweethearts go…takes one to know one! =)
thanks! Cracking up – what you put food last? haa! (kidding!)
LOL, Chris! I wondered if you’d have anything to say about that. I almost left it off, then thought better of it. I can’t leave food off. It definitely makes me happy!!!!!!
