Just a quick little reminder that it’s that time of year again when those of us in the States who live in areas that participate in Daylight Saving Time need to set our clocks forward tonight.
I mean, you don’t have to. You can wait until you wake up Sunday morning. There’s nothing wrong with that.
Except, I think that route’s a drag. A couple years back I decided I was going to rebel and set my clocks when I woke up instead of the night before. It sort of sucked realizing I was already an hour behind. (Trust me, the last thing I need help with is being behind. That comes naturally!)
Personally I dread this time of year. I love the extra daylight but hate losing an hour. Throws me off for the first week.
However, I console myself with the fact that there’s just that much more sun to Haunt Jaunt with. (For those times I want to make day excursions.)
What do you think about Daylight Saving Time? And when do you set your clocks: the day before or the day of?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
I understand the purpose of Daylight Savings Time but my body has totally rejected the concept.
HAHAHAHAHAHA! That’s classic, Andrea! I feel you. My mind and body don’t agree on it all either!
