Review of the Documentary “Unacknowledged”

I streamed Unacknowledged on Netflix after a friend highly recommended it. However, it’s also available to buy or rent on Amazon Prime Video.

Speaking of Amazon, the top positive review put it close to how I came away after watching it:

Usually when you watch material on this topic, whether it’s a documentary, or someone on youtube, you are thinking “this person has no credentials, they filmed this in the backyard, or they’re nuts.” but, when viewing this documentary, I found myself saying wow Dr. Greer is a medical doctor, and highly intelligent. This man is not a quack, he’s brilliant, worked for the military, and he’s brought forth government and military officials, and documents, all stating that ET’s exist. And, high ranking people from all different parts of the world.

Sensical

This wasn’t your typical “They Are Out There” UFO/extraterrestrial documentary. It wasn’t trying to make believers out of anyone.

Or, as another Amazon reviewer brilliantly put it:

Not fantastical, not fanatical, just plain sensical!

The information is delivered in a highly intelligent way, using highly credible sources to cite experiences and convey information from leaders in the science community, the military, and think tanks.

It quite frankly blew me away.

Skewed View?

Now, I have to admit I don’t need much convincing anyway.

Not that I’ve ever seen a UFO or alien, but I have a very hard time believing with how vast the Universe is, we’re the only life in it.

But this movie made me think about things in a whole new light. Concepts I’d never contemplated when thinking about visitors from outer space –and their technology. And how it might already be impacting ours.

To use another reviewer’s words, this time from Netflix (since they summed it up better and more succinctly than I could):

There’s a great deal of insight into our current political and socio economic world herein.

Yes there was, and I was not expecting that at all. I’m positive I’ve never seen anything dealing with this subject presented from this angle before. Mind. Blown.

Brain Candy

It was quite exciting really. Yes. A documentary. Exciting.

Not the action-packed kind of excitement. A cerebral kind.

And humbling. It really explains why now, more than ever, we need to start finding ways to bridge our differences and get along with each other.

Unacknowledged is best watched with an open mind. Or to the idea of having your mind opened.

And if you do, my only warning disclaimer is you’ll want to brace yourself to have your mind expanded even more.

After what I wrote above, it may come as no surprise that Unacknowledged warrants an easy 5 out of 5 skulls from Skellie and I.
