cmroch-72dpi-1500x2000(5)It’s been a while since I’ve mentioned our Shadow People and Cursed Objects Anthology. I’ve had some inquiries from those who’ve made submissions. I figured it was worth creating an update post to let people know where the process sits:

  1. Submissions closed July 31, 2015.
  2. The response was overwhelming. Literally. I had initially hoped to respond to all stories within four weeks of their submissions. I simply couldn’t keep up. I’ve got most of August submissions left to still read through. Which is in the neighborhood of 200+ stories.
  3. I am aiming to have all stories read by the end of August however. (This may be wishful thinking, but I need to try and stick to this goal in order to try and get the book out by the end of September, the first of October.)
  4. If I’ve already indicated that I liked your story but wanted to hold it until I read all submissions, refer to #3 above. I will give you a final answer as soon as I finish reading all the stories.

If you have submitted and have any other questions that aren’t addressed here, please feel free to get in touch using the form on the Contact Us page. Just keep in mind answering emails cuts into my reading time and, no, I can not be bribed.

  1. So excited about this, and so very pleased that you’ve got so many submissions.

  2. Looking forward to the response. Glad my submission didn’t get eaten up then, as I feared.

  3. Does anyone know if they chose all the stories? It is well past the projected publication date. I submitted but never heard back. Even if I’m not in it, I’m really looking forward to reading it.

Hi Karen, when did you submit? Did you get a confirmation email that we received your story? If so, we have no record of receiving it.
