Is the Bradford Exchange going to release a collection of most haunted places? I did a double take when I read a post about that. Then I doubled checked the dates. Did April Fool’s Day come early? Nope. It’s still March, and this is no joke.
The post was “Go bump in the night with Bradford Exchage’s ‘America’s Most Haunted’ series” by Michael Gavin. This is how his post started:
Love ghost stories? Wish you could own the iconic homes and haunts from your favorite tales of terror?
Now, thanks to the Bradford Exchange, your nightmares CAN come true! Offering a series of five haunted sculptures at roughly $60 each, the “America’s Most Haunted” village collection will feature “illuminated handcrafted buildings and more inspired by haunted places across America. With cards detailing the haunted history of each.”
Say what?
The haunted place for Issue One was instantly recognizable: the Amityville House.

What to Expect from “America’s Most Haunted” Illuminated Village Collection
Here’s a description from Bradford Exchange’s site about the collection:
You hear a creak upstairs when you’re home alone. The hair on the back of your neck stands on end for reasons unknown. Sometimes, the paranormal comes out to play! Now, explore the macabre mysteries of some of the most haunted places in America with America’s Haunted Village Collection, available only from The Bradford Exchange, Hawthorne Village Division….
You’re sure to be amazed by every eerie intricacy and detail! Each issue in this haunted village collection is individually handcrafted in artist’s resin to capture every chilling feature, and hand-painted to bring the presentation to life. Plus, each sculpture illuminates and features a wealth of detailing like the ghoulish apparitions that are seen peering out from their windows. Plus, learn about the events that took place in each historic place and what is thought to haunt the space with the included printed newspaper cards.
They had added emphasis to the “each sculpture illuminates” and “printed newspaper cards” parts.
I added the other emphasis because I like the thought of ghouls peering out from artwork and that info about the haunted place’s history and ghosts is also included.
I copied the newspaper card from the Bradford Exchange’s site to give you an idea of what it looks like:
I think it adds a nice, chilling touch to the overall effect of the piece. What about you?
Starting price is $59.99 per piece.
What Will The Other Three Haunted Places in the Collection Be?
I’m thinking maybe the Lizzie Borden House will be among the five. Not sure if it’ll be the third release, but I’m thinking it might be among the five.
Maybe also the Winchester Mystery House too? Lemp Mansion? Whaley House? Myrtles Plantation? Stanley Hotel?
Oh my…there are so many to choose from, but what fun to guess what they might be. What are your picks for the remaining three?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
