Urban Legends with the Ghost Brothers season 2 podcast cover
Well, it looks like the first podcast from discovery+ was a hit. Not only was Urban Legends with the Ghost Brothers recently named a Webby Awards Honoree in Podcasts – Comedy!, but it was also renewed for a second season. Dalen Spratt, Juwan Mass, and Marcus Harvey return with more creepy stories from the dark side in Urban Legends with the Ghost Brothers season 2 beginning on Thursday, May 5.

How many episodes there will be or descriptions haven’t been released yet. However, thanks to the trailer (included below) we know a few of the topics they’ll talk about, including Transylvania and Dracula’s castle, Lizzie Borden’s house, dark and creepy forests, serial killers, hitchhikers, Bigfoot, and haunted dolls.

Celebrity guests will join them again too, and they’ll share scary stories submitted from listeners.

Let’s first recap season 1, then look a little more closely at Urban Legends with the Ghost Brothers season 2, including how to submit your scary story if you have one.

Urban Legends with the Ghost Brothers Season 1 Recap

Apple Podcasts lists 14 episodes of Urban Legends with the Ghost Brothers, but season 1 consisted of 11 episodes (13 if you count the trailer and “Introducing: Betrayal with Daryn Carp,” both of which I excluded. The “Introducing” episode because it might be a listing error. It’s an introduction to a true crime podcast from ID about the Chippendales and the Ghost Brothers aren’t on it at all.)

However, here are the urban legends the Ghost Brothers explored in the first season of their podcast. They all clock in at about half an hour, give or take, which makes for quick, easy, and chuckle-inducing listening.

Ep. 7: “Is The Watcher Watching You?”

Urban Legends with the Ghost Brothers discuss a story out of New Jersey. The Broaddus family moves into this beautiful home in this fancy neighborhood…And just days after moving in, they start getting these creepy letters. And it’s clear from the writing this person knows them..and is watching them. Each letter is signed the same way….The Watcher. He grew up with the legend and investigated it, so he’ll help us find the kernels of truth in this one.

Urban Legends with the Ghost Brothers Season 2

On the new season of the podcast, the boys scare up more urban legends –from haunted dolls, mirrors, and the creepiness of forests and the woods– by talking to comedians, actors, witches, writers, podcasters, and filmmakers who share their own personal stories and their take on the paranormal.

They’ll also hear from the listeners because everyone has incredibly scary encounters they need to share. They invite listeners to gather round because there’s some creepy s*** out there and they know people love getting scared.

  1. Sometimes I think the Jersey Devil is just an unidentified species, and sometimes I think maybe there’s some kind of supernatural thing going on. And also I wonder if it’s related to Mothman. So I’m glad to see both legends/cryptids covered!

Another super interesting and thought-provoking comment, Priscilla! I’d never wondered if the Jersey Devil might be a Mothman relative! I do wonder if it could be an unidentified (or misidentified) too, though. Wish we could get some definitive answers to these questions!
