Well, that’s been confirmed and the premier date has been set: Friday, October 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Ghost Nation Like Ghost Hunters

What will stay the same and what will be different with this new show?

Different: They’ll be appearing on a new network.

Different: They won’t be alone. They’ll respond to urgent calls from local paranormal investigators nationwide who have reached a dead end with their vexing personal cases.

Same: The trio is getting back to its roots. They’ll help homeowners who are dealing with harrowing hauntings and people whose lives have been overtaken and threatened by unexplained phenomena.

Different & Same: They always utilized cutting edge equipment and meticulous methodology. That’ll continue with all that, but the technology will be of a brand new state-of-the-art variety.

Different: They have a new team banner: United Paranormal Research Organization (UPRO). More about that below.

The Episodes

Each of the 10, hour-long episodes features a high-stakes case and a robust, multi-stage investigation that begins with a shocking paranormal story and a tantalizing piece of evidence.

Stories featured this season include:

  1. A couple who recently gained notoriety when their nanny-cam footage captured a ghostly shadow figure walking by their baby’s crib
  2. A local team that captured possible shadow people moving throughout a notorious haunt
  3. An investigator who is actually scratched by an unseen phantom.

UPRO

The United Paranormal Research Organization (UPRO) will face the most challenging and dangerous paranormal mysteries the country has to offer.

In every investigation, collecting evidence is just the beginning. The team isn’t merely conducting a cursory review of the case. With the help of their local contacts, team members will embed themselves in the community. They’ll conduct multi-day investigations in an effort to track down the true source of the hauntings and restore peace to the living … and the dead.

“My local organization handles cases all across the East Coast,” said Hawes. “But in the last 20 years, because the paranormal movement has become so huge and spread all over the world, we formed an organization to connect all those involved in the field – fans, investigators or those just searching for answers to questions. Many organizations reach out to us for help with their best and toughest cases.”

Series Premiere

In the premiere, Steve, Jason, and Tango announce the formation of UPRO at the Fanboy Expo Event in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Her future husband, Cory, eventually moved into the home with his own children, but it wasn’t long before he began experiencing events himself. Within days, Cory started hearing unexplained footsteps and captured video of an apparition standing behind Brittany.

Now, their children are starting to have strange encounters. At a loss for what to do, Jessica, Cory and Brittany turn to the UPRO team for help. Can they save the children and bring peace to the family’s home? Tune in to Travel Channel on Friday, October 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT to find out!

  1. October 11th is not very far away! I’m hoping to upgrade my TV line up by then. (We don’t get the Travel Channel yet.)

  2. I really loved Ghost Hunters back in the day. I did notice near the end of the series Jason Hawes was a little full of himself and became very bossy. It came across on the screen, especially when his daughter was on the show. I really hope he has been humbled in some way and can just do the show without all the bravado. I hope this show does well. I do miss Dave and Tango. I have this show calendared and can’t wait for it to begin.

I stopped watching the last few years because we ditched cable, but he had already started changing by then. They all kind of had. hey were just “normal” people excited to get a show showcasing their hobby at first it seemed, but then it seemed like the bright lights and attention went to their heads. Not judging. I’m absolutely certain if I was in the same circumstances I’d get a big ol’ head too! Which is maybe why I’ll always remain as is. The forces that be know what a nightmare I could become and that’s not my destiny. LOL (This is what I tell myself when I get jealous about the people who get shows.)
