Paranormal Day happens every year on May 3. Last year I tried to do an online Paranormal Day Pop-Up Event, but it was a bust for a lot of reasons. Mostly, I wasn’t very organized. However, I’m going to try again this year with a Paranormal Day Paracon.

Might as well take advantage of this coronavirus crisis and have some spirited fun, right? Because I don’t foresee us being out of lockdown by then. (Although I’d love to be wrong about that.)

Even if we are though, I’ll still proceed as planned. Which is how exactly?

From Home Paranormal Day Paracon Format

For the most part it’ll be just like any other paracon, except we’ll do it online using Facebook Live –and potentially Instagram Live too. The details on that aren’t exactly hashed out yet. Only the date so far is set, but I do know we’ll utilize live feeds.

We’ll also have the same as you’d find at other paracons:

  • Speakers
  • Special guests
  • Vendors
  • Giveaways
  • Games

The only differences are you don’t have to travel anywhere and the entire thing is free!

Where Will It Be?

Online.

I’ll post updates leading up to Paranormal Day here, but most everything will happen through the Facebook event.

Special Guests

I’ll be going live at different points during Paranormal Day with special guests, such as

  • Paranormal investigators
  • Tour guides
  • Podcast hosts
  • Authors and bloggers
  • Whoever else wants to join me

For now, guests are TBA, but I do know one:

  • Rick McCallum of the Hollywood Ghost Hunters, as seen on Ghost Adventures. I’ll be going live with him at 6 pm CT.

If you’re on Facebook and you’d like to be a guest at some point during the Paranormal Day Paracon, leave a comment and let me know.

Speakers

Likewise, I’m looking for speakers to present Live via their Facebook account. (Either their personal one or their page, if applicable.) This could include, but is not limited to:

  • Investigators presenting a subject or topic like they would at a paracon. Anything from Ghost Hunting 101 to paranormal investigation techniques, or anything in between.
  • Authors who want to talk about their books.
  • Tour guides who want to conduct a tour (like Dorian Deathly did; if feasible and not breaking any state laws) or who want to present haunted histories of some of their favorite haunts.
  • Special Paranormal Day podcasts going live from Facebook or Instagram.

I’ll write a separate post later with info for speakers, guests, vendors and anyone else wanting to participate and have their links shared on Paranormal Day in the Facebook event.

Schooled By Ghosts Premiere

Another thing I’ll be rolling out on Paranormal Day is the sneak peek of the first episode of HJ’s new web series, Schooled By Ghosts.

That’ll premiere at 8 p.m. CT on Facebook.

RSVP

You’re cordially invited to social distance together in a spirited way on Paranormal Day with this FREE paracon you can attend from home.

RSVP on the Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/3898144730226053/

Hope to see your spooky self there!
