Thanks to the trailer for The Haunted Museum, we had an idea of a couple of the objects we might see in the new scripted horror series from Zak Bagans and Eli Roth. However, today discovery+ officially announced series details, including episode titles and descriptions. So now we know exactly which artifacts inspired episodes!

Among the thousands of relics in Bagans’ Las Vegas museum are a group of items that are particularly sinister. Ones that induce nightmarish experiences, such as fainting spells, chills, convulsions, scratches, and disturbing bad luck. These are the items he chose to collaborate with Roth on for The Haunted Museum series.

Specifically, these nine items:

  1. Peggy the Doll
  2. The Devil’s Rocking Chair
  3. Charles Manson’s cursed television
  4. An antique mirror with an evil attachment
  5. The Westerfeld dollhouse
  6. A wooden tribal cursed statue
  7. “Spiritual equipment” that may be a portal to a demonic dimension
  8. The Demon House staircase
  9. The infamous Dybbuk Box.

Well, number six answers the question I had about that object from the trailer. It’s freaky enough just to look at. Speaking of freaky, spooky, and scary…

“This is the scariest thing you’ll ever watch,” Bagans reassures fans.

Roth agrees, saying he’s never been involved in producing such a scary project. He even went so far as to say he believes “this show could go down as one of the scariest anthology horror television shows of all time.”

The first two episodes of the nine-part season begin streaming exclusively on discovery+ on Saturday, October 2. New ones will launch on Saturdays after that.

Now, let’s check out what the episodes will be about.
