How to Enter
From now until October 31, 2016, all you have to do is:
- Post a photo (or photos) on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and tag it #MyHJHaunt.
Winners will be selected and announced on November 1, 2016.
Prizes
The winner will receive a prize pack that includes a Spooky Living Tree decoration, a Halloween dish towel, a set of Spooky Coasters, and a support Halloween magnet.

In addition, the winner will also be awarded one of the genuine 24k plastic gold trophies and a medal like we’re giving out in our other two contests. (As modeled by our spokes-skeleton below. Just ignore the #MyHJSelfie tag…unless of course you’re entering that contest too.)
Looking forward to seeing your #MyHJHaunt photos. May the most spirited win!
FAQs
Q. How many times can I enter?
A. No limit. If you have several displays in your house or on your lawn, we know it’s hard to capture it all in one shot. Take as many photos as you want and submit as many as you want. Just be sure to tag them all #MyHJHaunt.
Q. Do the decorations have to be mine?
A. No. If you have a family member or friend, or maybe even a neighbor, who has a very spirited display and you want to take a photo of that and enter it, feel free.
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Oooh, I’ll have to get a snap of my decor!
Yes Yes YES! Please do! SO fun!!
