para_wallI yet again have Twitter to thank for bringing to my attention a new-to-me paranormal experience. This time: The ParaFactor (@TheParafactor).

Their Twitter bio was the first thing that piqued my interest: “Live Paranormal Talk Show …with a naughty side.”

Naughty? What kind of naughty are we talking about?

So I clicked their web link and was taken to their site. That’s where I was smacked in the face with their tagline: “talk radio that abducts and probes you.”

Okay, clearly they have an off-color sense of humor. Right up my alley!

So I scrolled down under their cool animated header, which tells about upcoming shows and guests, and the next thing that had me interested was a picture of the ParaFactor’s hosts, Ash Hamilton and Mark, with “This ain’t your mama’s paranormal radio show” followed by a brief description:

Looking to spice up your late night Paranormal Radio? The Parafactor – Live Paranormal Radio offers you the paranormal with a little something extra to whet your appetite for the bizarre. So grab a beer, put the kids to bed and laugh yourself scared!

Oh, and speaking of the hosts…on the page that describes them is this zinger: “Because every para-site needs a good host!”

I love that sort of wit, and once I saw that line in particular I thought, “Hmmm, The ParaFactor would make a great blog post…”

So I contacted Ash and asked if he had any logos. He doesn’t know me from Adam (whatever the heck that saying means!), but do you know he zapped over some logos pronto? (Thanks again, Ash!)

This all happened back on Monday. I restrained myself from writing about them until today, however. Why? Because if you didn’t know about them but they appealed to you also, while they’re still fresh in your brains you would know you can catch their show tonight.

The probing gets underway on Thursdays (see? Tonight!) at 9 p.m. EST and lasts all the way to midnight.

Tonight’s guests include Randolph Rogers, author of The Key of Life, at 10 p.m. Then at 11 p.m. they’ll be chatting with Jordan Galland of the dark comedy Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Undead.

Next Thursday, February 18th, they’ll discuss Ritual Magick with Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki at 10 p.m. Then they’ll move on to Celtic Mythology with Bob Curan.

  4. I listened to The Parafactor last night and I have to say it was the best radio I have heard in a long time. The hosts were well-informed and the guests really seemed to enjoy themselves. In addition to co-hosts Ash amd Mark, there is a 3rd co-host named Jon who seemed to be a great compliment to the others. I assume hs ie a regular and that his bio will be up on the website at some point. Bravo to The Parafactor, keep doing what you’re doing!
