I’m firmly convinced I picked up on some wavelength in the Universe when I presented my idea for an online Paranormal Day Paracon to some para friends of mine. Since then, other paranormal events have been announced too, like Phenomenacon happening May 1-3. The other day I learned of yet another one happening the first weekend in May: the Paranormal Investigator Virtual Conference (PIVC) on May 2.

PIVC’s Lineup

They’ve got some great speakers, like:

  • Brad and Barry Klinge, a.k.a. the Klinger Brothers from Ghost Lab
  • Kenny Biddle
  • Rob Wilson
  • Tim Woolworth
  • Shannon Bradley-Byers
  • John Fraser

PIVC’s Topics

We don’t have a theme beyond “paranormal” for the Paranormal Day Paracon, but PIVC is geared towards paranormal investigators and all facets of paranormal investigating.

Topics such as skepticism, ITC, intense paranormal experiences, researching haunted histories and what now to do with paranormal investigating.

PIVC’s Heart

Like the Paranormal Day Quarantine-acon, PIVC is also free. (Phenonenacon is free for members, but if you’re not one then it’s $15.)

However, PIVC is asking people to consider donating what they can to charities. That’s something one of the guests I’ll be speaking with, Maria Schmidt from Haunted Journeys, suggested I should consider doing too. I thought it was a great idea, but I didn’t know what charity or charities to pick.

However, PIVC suggests some great ones:

All free…. but in honour of charities at the front line of the COVID-19 feel free to donate what you can to these fabulous organisations. NHS Charities Together – https://www.nhscharitiestogether.co.uk/ Mental Health foundation – https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/ Feeding America – https://www.feedingamerica.org/ World Central Kitchent – https://wck.org/ Australian Red Cross – https://www.redcross.org.au/

So if you have some extra cash and want to help out, these links should get you to where you can.

How to Attend

PIVC is also on Facebook. Check out their group page here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/814919742362908

Para Power

I love seeing other paranormal people getting speakers lined up and throwing these virtual conferences.

We all know under normal conditions we’d be out doing our thing, be that going to paracons or on ghost hunts or whatever it is we do to get our para fix. Especially at this time of the year. It’s when we all come out of hibernation in earnest.

So if you want to mix and mingle May 1, 2 and 3 with para folks and see some great speakers, you’ve got several options now to socialize in a spirited way Paranormal Day weekend!
