I don’t know if I’ll always share two trailers for Movie Monday. I don’t know if I’ll even have one movie to feature every Monday. But I had two movies this week that I wanted to share, so here’s the second one: The Wolfman.
It won’t start until February 12, 2010, but the trailer caught my eye on one of my recent jaunts to the movies. I was impressed with the sets and the cast. (Benecia Del Toro, Emily Blunt, and the amazing Anthony Hopkins…what a lineup!)
Take a look if you haven’t seen it already. What do you think?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Wow! Great find! I didn’t know about this at all. It has the lush look of “Sleepy Hollow” that I adored just for atmosphere (the story sucked). This looks very promising and I adore werewolf movies as much as vampire ones, maybe more because vampires are so civilized and wolfmen are so wild and like primitive man. I wish more horror movies would take place in that time period. I despise modern horror movies with teenagers, cell phones, laptops, and modern settings. There’s no richness or helplessness or beauty and the characters are so worthless of saving. I can’t wait for this one–just what I was waiting for!
OMG! Another KSC kind of thing…I really liked Sleepy Hollow for what you described too. (It’s amazing setting and atmosphere.) And that’s EXACTLY what appealed to me about this movie too! And werewolves….well, I’m all about them. My first book was based on a French-style werewolf. So glad I FINALLY introduced something to you that you didn’t know about. I’m shocked! It’s always the other way around!!!! (Which is fine, but sometimes it’s nice to be able to give for a change rather than always take!)
