Travel Channel and discovery+ Paranormal Programming Highlights: April 25-May 8, 2022

This is one of those updates where there aren’t any series or season premieres or finales. But there are new episodes of Ghost Adventures, Portals to Hell, Paranormal Caught on Camera, and Expedition Bigfoot. It’s also full of culture.

For instance, Ghost Adventures investigates the home of iconic American author, John Steinbeck. And Jack and Katrina take in a horror show during their investigation of the Savannah Theatre.

But that’s only two episodes so let’s check out the others.

Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley and Jay Wasley travel to Salinas, California, to investigate the birthplace of iconic author John Steinbeck. For decades, witnesses, including Steinbeck himself, have felt a dark presence in the home. Could a portal be drawing spirits to the property?

Katrina Weidman and Jack Osbourne investigate the Savannah Theatre in Savannah, Georgia, a paranormal playhouse dating back almost 200 years. And in a television first, the duo takes the stage and discovers that this theater likes to put on a horror show.

“Fort Mifflin” – Begins Streaming Saturday, May 7 on discovery+

Katrina Weidman takes Jack Osbourne to one of her favorite hotspots – Philadelphia’s Fort Mifflin, a location rife with the ghosts of wars long past. The pair peel back the layers of haunted history and discover something unexpected is stationed at the fort.

TAPS investigates a church-turned-brewery in Pittsburgh where ominous apparitions roam the floor and ghostly footsteps echo above. The team looks to an accidental death that took place on the property to help solve the mystery behind the haunting.

  1. I’m not surprised about Steinbeck. I think a lot of creative types are more sensitive and are aware of spiritual beings that the rest of folks don’t notice.
