This is it. We’ve reached the pinnacle of Ghostober 2022. Travel Channel and discovery+ have offered a ton of programming this year, but as the saying goes, they’ve “saved the best for last.”
Halloween weekend kicks off with the premiere of Ghosts of Flight 401, a new Shock Docs special, as well as Urban Legend, Eli Roth’s second series to premiere during Ghostober.
However, it all culminates in this year’s biggest treat of all, The Haunted Museum: 3 Ring Inferno, a film collaboration between Zak Bagans and Eli Roth.
But there are also new episodes of Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters, Paranormal Caught on Camera, Ghost Brothers: Lights Out, and Haunted Scotland. And Conjuring Kesha wraps its series premiere on Travel Channel with its final two episodes.
Let’s take a closer look at the specials and the episodes ahead in each series.

Check-In
Are you looking forward to either (or both) 3 Ring Inferno and/or Urban Legend too?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
OMGosh, doesn’t Urband Legend sound so good?!
You know, I used to enjoy Ghost Adventures, TAPS, and the other series, but now I feel that the shows are all a bit too much the same, too male-dominated, too fixated on “evil” spirits and chasing demons. That is not my experience of ghost hunting, and not how I want to see it portrayed on the TV. I do enjoy watching Chris Fleming and have seen Haunted Scotland on Sky however.
Thanks for sharing this round-up, although I think most of it is not currently available in the UK except perhaps on Discovery+ 🙂
I am SUCH a sucker for urban legends. Looking forward to giving this series a gander!
AMEN, Spooky Mrs. Green! (Love your handle btw!) It’s very aggravating to see the direction the paranormal entertainment has taken. And your dilemma about viewing sounds similar to mine. lol I’ll see ads for shows that are only playing in the UK or Canada and can only hope eventually they’ll make a US premiere. lol Thanks for the comment.
Since reading your post about the Eli Roth series A Ghost Ruined My Life appearing on Haunt Tv instead of Discovery+ I have been unable to find how to access that channel in the US. It is not on Roku even though on Google searches it states that it is. Since the My Possessed Pet series is so disappointing I desperately want to see the Ghost Ruined My Life series.
Also, I thought the Haunted Museum series was renewed last year? Is this 3 Ring Inferno movie in place of that series or is Haunted Museum series also on Haunt Tv?
I notice on Netflix yesterday they have a show premiering this Friday called 28 Days Haunted which looks interesting.
Thank you for your tenacious reporting on the paranormal and horror genre. You have helped me find many shows and movies I would have otherwise missed. Your diligent efforts are greatly appreciated by me.
Hey Misty! Okay, I’m sorry you’re frustrated too. I thought HauntTV was its own “entity” so to speak (no pun intended, but since it works…lol), but I believe it’s part of the group of them offered on the Roku Channel. If you have Roku, you have to go to their channel. (If you’re familiar with Pluto, Tubi, etc, it’s sort of like that, except an app within the Roku platform…if that’s clear as mud!)
More specifically, I believe it’s on The Roku Channel, channel 773.
And I’m really sorry (but not surprised) to hear My Possessed Pet was a dud. I can’t watch anything with animals in it. I always want to cry, even when nothing bad happens to the animal! But I really didn’t have the stomach for any allegedly being possessed by demons or whatever. You confirmed that was a good choice to skip.
And yes. You are correct that The Haunted Museum series was renewed. I think this year instead of doing the anthology of individual episodes like they did last year, they just made one big special. I’m NOT 100% positive about that. It could just be a special under the Haunted Museum umbrella similar to how Ghost Adventures has specials in addition to its season. Another season of THM like the first one may be on the horizon for all I know.
And thanks for the heads up about 28 Days Haunted on Netflix. I hadn’t seen info on that one.
