It was all smiles as mom and son Sharon and Jack Osbourne arrived to investigate the Glen Tavern Inn, a century-old hotel in Santa Paula, California, with a colorful but tragic past. But things took a scary turn when Sharon passed out during an experiment.

Travel Channel has made no secret that Sharon Osbourne suffered a medical emergency while filming with her son for his show, Jack Osbourne’s Night of Terror. In fact, they’re using it to hype the start of the new season. It happens during the first episode, which premieres on Sunday, October 1 at 10/9 c.

But beyond that, other than acknowledging she was fine, they didn’t really share what all had happened…until now. They recently released a clip of the moment when she passed out.

However, hearing about it and seeing it are two different things.

Luckily, she was sitting down when she passed out, but it was distressing to watch Jack find her and try to revive her.

But what really happened? If it was when she was still using Ozempic, maybe her blood sugar dipped too low? Or did something paranormal actually affect her?

Then there’s that desensitized part of me that wonders if nothing happened at all beyond some well-choreographed theatrics. But if that’s the case, Jack deserves an Emmy because the desperation in his voice and concern for his mom’s welfare sounds very real.

Supposedly, she’s fine, but no one knows what caused her to just conk out like that. If it wasn’t staged for ratings, here’s hoping she never endures anything like it again.

The Glen Tavern Episode

Here’s the episode description:

While Sharon enters the investigation unsure about whether or not she believes in ghosts, the more time she and Jack spend at the Inn, the more she is convinced something dark is lurking in the hotel’s historic suites. As the investigation’s energy grows things take a dramatic turn. Sharon lands in the crosshairs of one of the Inn’s most volatile entities, an angry and oppressive male spirit known for overtaking female guests—ending in a still unexplained medical mystery.

What do you make of what happened to Sharon Osbourne?

  1. Wow, that was scary. She must have been overtaken by the angry spirit.

  2. She was recently on a talk show (in the UK, I think) talking about she had been using Ozempic to lose weight and she felt she lost too much weight. Based on that, I’m wondering whether her fainting episode was due to medications. Also, she’s not a spring chicken anymore and the body just doesn’t behave like it usually does as you get older. I’ve had fainting episodes, but those were tied in to being sick with something else beforehand.

I didn’t see that interview but read articles about it. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the clip because I’ve never had fainting or dizzy spells, but I’ve been on Ozempic (the very lowest dose, .25 mg) for over a year now. A few months ago, I started having dizzy spells due to low blood sugar. Thankfully never when I’m standing. So far when I’m laying down or sitting, most especially when I’m drowsy. Sharon had a blindfold over her eyes in a dark room. She could’ve easily just got drowsy and had a low blood sugar momnent. There’s no telling. I’m sure doctors checked her out for that. Not sure if we’ll see that in the episode, but if Jack or one of the crew gave her some sugar to pep her up, that might not be reflected in tess anyway.

OR…maybe something angry did “attack” her. Who knows? lol

  4. Chip Coffey said it happened because two spirits were fighting over her. Both wanted to use her body, like a medium. They said they checked her out at the hospital and could find no reason for it happening.

Of course he did. I wouldn’t have expected any other answer. lol
