First, we explored five great horror lover gift ideas you can find on Amazon. Now it’s time to zero in on our next suspect: a gift guide for true crime addicts.
Since I’ve so far amassed at least 40 finds (and am still adding as I come across new things), I’ve picked my seven absolute favorites from the 2022 True Crime Addicts Gift Ideas shelf in the Skareporium to share here. Without further ado, let’s investigate them.
Gift Idea #1: Crime Scene Tumbler
I came across a lot of true crime tumblers but most either mentioned wine, had a lot of blood on them, or were serial killer specific. I like the design of this “Who did it?” one. A couple of others also included a chalk outline, but not on a black background (they were either white or stainless steel), and they didn’t include the evidence markers.
While it’s $25, it’s eco-friendly and even includes a straw washer. It’ll last years and years.

Gift Idea #2: Evidence Bag
Okay, maybe it’s because I’m a bag girl, but this one is just too cute. Whether for travel or going to work or the gym, there are just so many ways you could put it to use.

Gift Idea #3: Dictionary
True crime addicts tend to be thinkers who like information. Giving them this one-of-a-kind book that contains “everything from police jargon and forensics terms to deadly poisons and even deadlier killers” really is sure to “enthrall” them.

Gift Idea #4: Attempted Murder Decor
Unless you really know someone, buying decor can be tricky. It’s always a gamble hoping whatever you picked jives with their style. That’s why this wall plaque may not work for everyone, but at least it’s only $13. They may not hang it, but hopefully they’ll at least appreciate the humor. It just tickled me to death. It’s like an inside joke for mystery and true crime fans.

Gift Idea #5: Cereal Killer Spoon
This spoon is for the true crime addict who has everything else —including a sense of humor and an affinity for cereal. It also might make a fun stocking stuffer.

Gift Idea #6: Serial Killer Cookbook
The full title is what sells this book, The Serial Killer Cookbook: True Crime Trivia and Disturbginly Delicious Last Meals from Death Row’s Most Infamous Killers and Murderers. And judging from the overwhelming amount of 5-star reviews, it’s as much killer fun as the title suggests.

Gift Idea #7: T-Shirt
Now, the last thing most people need (much less want) is another T-shirt. However, in some cases, such as style and comfort, exceptions can be made. And doesn’t this T just scream comfort? (And not because the suggestion is written all over the front of it.)
According to the reviews, it lives up to its M.O. and is super comfy. It also comes in a variety of colors to choose from.

Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
The cereal killer spoon cracks me up!
It’s so funny! I had to include it. And I wish we had kept up with a guy we met at trivia pre-pandemic. There was a little BBQ place by our house and I’ll never forget our first time going to their trivia night. It was just Wayne and I, all the other tables were packed, but there was this one lone guy at a table all by himself so we asked if we could join him. He said we could and he’d already had his card filled out. We asked what the team name was and he said, “Serial Killer.” Which seemed about right, but then he made a motion like he was spooning cereal from a bowl. What a laugh that was. The spoon would’ve made a perfect gift for him!
Ha ha, I like the “Attempted murder” plaque and the cereal killer spoon, definitely my kind of humour!
Oooo! This is another comment that once again lets me know we are partners in crime, peas in the pod kind of kindred spirits, Spooky Mrs. Green. LOVE that it’s your humor too! THANK YOU for taking the time to check out the list and leave a comment!
