The first season of UFO Witness launched exclusively on discovery+ on January 14 this year. Apparently it was well watched. Today discovery+ announced it had been greenlit for season 2. But that wasn’t the only UFO Witness announcement. They also revealed season 1 would premiere on Travel Channel starting Monday, November 15 at 10 p.m. ET.
Let’s revisit what UFO Witness is all about and what we know so far about season 2.
About UFO Witness
For more than 70 years, the U.S. government documented sightings and cases of unidentified flying objects. In cooperation with former Project Blue Book investigator Jennie Zeidman, former federal agent and paranormal investigator Ben Hansen reopens case files of some of the most astounding UFO encounters in history…files that have been hidden from the public for decades.
In the first season, Hansen started his mission to uncover the truth behind the country’s most shocking and infamous UFO sightings. He was granted unprecedented access to the archives of Dr. J. Allen Hynek, the chief scientific consultant of Project Bluebook, which contained over 10,000 case files.
Hansen believed the answers to UFOs in America are hidden in the cases of the past. Aiding him on his quest was Jennie Zeidman, the last surviving operative of Project Bluebook, and Mark O’Connell, an accomplished UFO investigator and former confidant of Dr. Hynek. Together, they uncovered the secrets of the past to shed new light on today’s freshest UFO encounters.
UFO Witness Season 2
There isn’t a release date yet or any episode descriptions, but so far we know season 2 will once again be eight one-hour episodes that stream on discovery+.
We also know Hansen will join forces with UFO researcher and journalist Melissa Tittl to uncover the dark secrets surrounding the unidentifiable objects in our skies.
The UFO Report and UFO Witness
When UFO Witness first premiered on discovery+, the government hadn’t yet released information on its decades of evidence on Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP), a.k.a. the UFO report. Will that affect how season 2’s investigation unfolds?
Guess we’ll find out…
UFO Witness on Travel Channel
Season 1 will premiere on Travel Channel on Monday, November 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Do you have a favorite UFO case?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
My favorite UFO case is the Naval radar from the USS Omaha showing multiple objects on modern radar (2019). Maybe it’ll be covered in season 2 of UFO Witness.
Ooooo! GREAT answer…and I wonder if it will. Maybe they’ll release an episode guide when they announce the release date and we’ll find out then.
