At the end of September, I came across GhostFlix from US Ghost Adventures. GhostFlix are in-home ghost tours that can be experienced either On Demand or via a Live Event –livestreamed that is. Although, US Ghost Adventures does offer in-person tours too.

I thought GhostFlix sounded super clever and fun because, at the time I first learned of them, Halloween was fast approaching. Some people were looking for ways to enjoy a spooky, yet safe, experience without having to go out.

As fate would have it, someone from US Ghost Adventures saw my post and hooked me up with their project manager, Josef Kruger. He gave me more info about the company and we set up a time to talk. Well, we set up a couple of times to talk.

The first time was more of a getting to know each other kind of thing. We ended up realizing I had a lot of things I wanted to know about US Ghost Adventures and all they have to offer because it’s more than just in-person and GhostFlix ghost tours.

The Intro Chat

In our first conversation, we covered what cities US Ghost Adventures operates in, GhostFlix, how their Halloween went, their tours on the Junket app, and what they’ve got coming up for the holiday season/end-of-year. We also briefly touched on Lily, their haunted doll.

However, Lily –who I needed to have the moment I saw her– needs to have her own show. So we left off with a teaser of what we’ll talk about next, including

  1. Why is one of the rules of Lily’s care to keep her away from mirrors, and
  2. America’s Most Haunted (That’s all Josef would say.)

I’ve embedded both the YouTube link and the podcast link below for your listening or viewing pleasure, whichever you prefer. If you watch, you get to see the moment the two Lilies meet…or “Evil Twins,” as Josef dubbed them. You can also listen wherever you get your podcasts from.

For now, here are the key highlights we hit:

They had a lot more Live Events in September and October for Spooky Season, but they also currently have a couple for December. If they have more in 2021, they’ll add them.

The virtual Live Event tours cost $15 per person, and the On Demand ones cost $13.

Josef said they’d be rolling out a 50% off discount for the On Demand tours for the holidays, so keep an eye out on that if there’s any cities you want to try.

Self-Guided Ghost Tours via Junket

On Demand is great, but what if you want to get out and take a tour, but maybe not necessarily with others?

There’s a solution for that too: Junket!

Junket offers GPS-guided narrated audio tours right from your phone. It’s available on both Android and iOS devices.

If you want to take a tour at midnight? Great. In the middle of the afternoon? Yep. First thing in the morning? If that’s your cup of tea. Or coffee, depending on your morning beverage of choice.

Lily the Haunted Doll

US Ghost Adventures Lily dolls meeting via Zoom
The haunted Lily dolls, aka The Evil Twins as Josef dubbed them, joined Josef and I on our Zoom call.

Josef briefly introduced Lily and covered the rules for her on the box.

Although, if you follow HJ’s YouTube channel you may have seen my Lily the haunted doll unboxing video. And she was also one of the Skeleton Crew members who helped draw winners for the Krampusnacht Eve Winner’s Choice giveaway.

My Lily has cuckoo crazy hair. She came out of the box with normal-looking locks, but it’s like she’s got a cowlick or something. One strand just wants to keep popping up!

Anyway, during our next chat, Josef and I are going to delve into Lily’s rules and origin story more.

For now, we just wanted to do a really quick intro of what US Ghost Adventures is all about and has to offer, which you can see is some pretty spooktacular stuff!

  1. I have taken self-guided tours before, but never a self-guided ghost tour. It’s such a great idea.

I took a self-guided ghost tour in Victoria, and I loved it EXCEPT…I always have questions and there was no one to ask! LOL
