I always say the people at Travel Channel and their PR firm are good to me, but this time they’ve gone above and beyond. This Ghostober special delivery box is simply spooktacular!
One of the account execs at their PR firm had reached out last month on behalf of TC. Funny thing was, it happened to be on my birthday. She asked for my address because she wanted to include me in a mailing of a Halloween-themed package they were sending out. It was to celebrate the third-annual paranormal programming Ghostober event, which runs all October long, but really heats up Sunday, October 25 through Saturday, October 31.
I had totally forgotten about the Ghostober box until it arrived on my doorstep late yesterday afternoon. I squealed when I saw it because I had no idea what to expect. For one thing, I wasn’t expecting the packaging to say Ghostober on it (specifically, “Ghostober III: The Fall of Summer). Nor was I expecting the box to be so big.
Maybe because for Christmas a couple of times they’ve sent me a little something. One year was amazing caramels. Last year was these incredible cookies. I guess I was expecting something like that.
Nope.
This time it was like getting a Travel Channel subscription box (if they offered such things) loaded with cool Halloween stuff!
I was not expecting to find all the fun stuff inside that I did.
There were Halloween decorations, Halloween candy (specifically, candy corn!), socks, I believe a pumpkin carving kit (but in the unboxing video I kept saying it was a spatula!), face masks, and most importantly a card listing all of the specials, new seasons and when they’ll premiere.

What’s your favorite part about Ghostober?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Super cool box! Travel Channel rocks. Every part of Ghostober is the best part, but if I had to choose . . . I think The Holzer Files is SUCH a good show, so I’m looking forward to the new season on the 29th.
So cool! I cannot wait for the Ghost Nation crew to grace my t.v. and I’m also looking forward to the Dead Files sneak peek.
I know for sure I’m getting to talk to the Holzer Files people.I’m hoping it will be all 3 but it might not be. But no matter what I’m excited that got scheduled because I can’t wait to ask your question!
Love it! Especially the phrase “grace my t.v.”! Written like a true fan!
