Big things are brewing for Haunt Jaunts in 2011. Here’s some of what’s ahead in the New Year.

HAUNTED TRAVELS

I’ve got my eye on some more jaunts to haunted places, of course. San Francisco, Vegas, and a return to New York City are all possibilities right now.

However, I’d like to try and get to San Antonio, Gettysburg and Colonial Williamsburg too. (Might be a little ambitious to do all three, but I’d just be happy to make it to one of them this year.)

Of course there’ll be the local daytrip jaunts. There’s still plenty of haunted places in Tennessee I’d like to explore!

TALK TALK

Plans are in the works for me to have a segment on a radio show Global Paranormal’s Chuck Manning is putting together. I’d be covering paranormal entertainment and media. As details evolve I’ll of course be sure to spread the word. We’ll likely know more later this month.

THE TRAVEL GUIDE

My Muse originally blessed me with my Haunt Jaunts idea as Haunt Jaunts: A Travel Guide for Restless Spirits, a book about haunted places. However, Life happened and instead my Muse put the blog in my heart until such a time as I was settled again and could think about creating such a book.

That time has come. And thanks to the blog and all I’ve learned via it, Haunt Jaunts the book won’t be just one, but a series of regional theme jaunts. (Coastal Haunt Jaunts of the Pacific Northwest, Foodie Haunts Jaunts of  the North Atlantic, Romantic Haunt Jaunts of the South, etc…)

Not all of them will be published in 2011, of course. The first one may not even see publication this year, but it’ll at least get placed in the printing queue!

CALENDAR

This one is going to be very exciting because it involves two things I love most: people and photography. Haunt Jaunts will be accepting submissions for photos of haunted places and twelve will be published in a haunted places calendar.

I’m hoping I can make it happen for 2012, but it might be 2013 before the actual published calendar comes to fruition. (Still working out all the details. However, I figured if I put it out in the Universe now it’ll help it become a reality faster.)

So…that’s what’s ahead for HJ in 2011. What’s on your horizon?

  3. Oooo, this is exciting! I’ll join in on any visit here in Tennessee 🙂 and if the budget allows, I’m down to go out to some of those other places. We all need to go to Waverly again, right?!
I’m most excited about the photography + haunted houses project.

I am excited about that one too, Sarah! I sure hope I can get it happening. This week my grand plans got kabooshed by a dumb flu but next week….well, next week better just watch out! I’m going to roll up my sleeves and get 2011 started right!
